Does that mean there are no more bots in the tournament?

I'm sure there still are but its based off the teams previous season record. I missed the tournament last year (my first full) due to the ending record of the team I started w/ in Div 5.

I have no idea how easy it is to implement but why would we have bots playing and humans sitting at home?

While this is suboptimal, bots are cleaned down every season, so this is a rare occasion.

And given that BB is a long-term game, serious players should be able to cope with 1 sub-optimal season.

Again, I have no idea if it is easy to implement but why even have it as a rare occasion. Is it possible to eliminate it entirely?

I have no idea.

In the beginning of the season, all bots are relegated and all human users promoted. I am not 100% sure whether the game uses situation before or after the cleanup to determine participants. If it uses the after-cleanup situation, there shouldn't be any bots ahead of human users.

Regretfully, nothing can be done for users who register midseason, so the problem will persist in one form or another.

Just for clarification, this is my fourth season at BB. My team was relegated to V in my first season, and I finished 5th in my division the past two seasons (9-13 last year).

Fair enough, I can understand that a few of the lowest level teams won't make it. I can certainly agree with the suggestion that humans be favored over computers, though really the goal is evenness, and I think that's best accomplished by taking the best teams.

Just was really wondering how it was decided... and suggesting an easier way to find teams not included (yeah, I know about the thread, but I doubt it'll be easy since my only hopes are generally newer teams).

Thanks :)
