He is right offensive fouls don't count against team fouls in the NBA. There are a few things in the game which are not apparent with NBA rules such as getting the ball after a technical. In the NBA who ever ball it was when the technical was called retains possession after the the technical free throw and the one that gets me the most is the shot clock resetting on block shots as it should only reset after a shot hit the rims which does occasionly occur on some block shots.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

in my eyes the technical fouls are a failure in speak, in german we have "technische"( believ thats are the same then technical fouls in the NBA for arguing, 6th player or coach on field etc.) and "unsportliche"(i am not sure i believe they calling flaagrant in the NBA and you get then for hard fouls and tactical fouls like stopping a fast break or fouling when the ball isn't back in game).

And BB alwayys write technical when they mean "Unsportlich", because if you made an technical foul after an shooting foul it means 4 free throws(and in europe the ball for the team who didnt make it). But i never seen a shooting foul, which is technical.

Technical fouls here behave more like flagrant fouls in all respects. I wonder whether it's worth renaming them.

it is since were talking about 2 different things and they have different regulations for each one.

my player just got an offensive foul and it was the 5th team foul, no foul shots were taken, but the foul count did show 5 fouls so i think it is just a presentational error

maybe it does not give shots on offensive fouls but if you had 4 offensive fouls and then a reach in foul you will be shooting 2 instead of having 1 team foul.

deliberate is the word to use, translates better than flagrant.

intentional is a good alternative option.

I presume flagrant would be the official terminology since that's what the NBA uses.

I'm quite tempted to insult you, but as we don't speak the same language, kneecapping Bambi and giving him ice skates would be more your idea of subtle.
