having the whole team young is just a waste of time
and on some levels of competition, you have to have good players, slightly older, that you still train

well i have started loading up on older players. they are cheaper to buy and they add valuable depth to your team. and also all players will have to be replaced at some point so if you can find a great player for your team, you can always sell him later and get most of your money back, after your team has won it title.

This 20 year old not worth training is some bullshit. If it is the case then it needs to be changed frankly a real player stops being trainable at about 25 and then skills decline at around 29.

Some teams do train til 25-26 if the player is good enough. The issue is if you'd like a 25 year old rookie to begin training, or an 18 year old. It is also easiest to train when they are younger (as is often the case irl as well) and so people recommend getting an 18 y/o with decent potential.
