To put it simply, India is a very very weak country. If you're ranked 1000 or less, you can easily be the winner of the Indian tournament :P (I think there are 2 or 3 teams that are ranked 1000 or less but you can still be the top in Indian league).

haha yeah. But I would prefer the level of competition in Australia. It is much harder in Australia and so much more fun in my opinion.

haha I have no doubt :P But even if you started again in Australia with a brand new team I assure you that you won't find it easy to get to div 2 or div 1.

Why is this game such a hit in Australia? Is basketball really that big there?

yeh i agree with that 100%, cant go through the divisions without facing stiff competition here.

I think some of the teams in Div III could easily match it with the teams in Div II.

I wouldn't say its huge, but during the early 90's basketball was everywhere & everyone played it!

There is a bit of a niche market for BBALL these days and i think BB is good way for those people to stay involved with BBALL one way or another.

Its not big in a sense where you see people playing on the courts all the time, but there are stadiums & some playgrounds that get packed out with people playing bball.

nice name by the way

jw is right, basket ball was massive in the 90s with the aussie team being top 4 in many international competitions, having a reall strong domestic competition the nbl that had many borderline nba level talent players and the nba itself being on free to air tv all the time

sadly it has been really badly managed since in every way

but for those of us were fans in the 90s we are hooked for life, i played nbalive to death and now love bb

as for those gunning for the naked virus and saying his advice is bad - you are wrong, and right

he is an excellent manager and has made his team a powerhouse in very short time - however his recipe for success is not for everyone and is not for me

he is australias no 1 day trader, he sells off his entire team all the time, when he doesnt need wins he will just buy a bunch of 1k players and then sack them all to save his core players, he doesnt care about his draft picks, developing players or even training anyone, i hear he is training game shape or stamina for the rest of the season

he has been super successful and has the respect of everyone that knows him for his brains, hard work and success - he is also very generous at helping others

that being said his personal recipe for success, while proven, is to my mind not much fun and i would never suggest it for a new player

if you want to have the best possible team in no time flat, sell all your players, fire all your staff, dont care about winning every second season and get great draft picks you can sell, buy and sell players on a daily basis for a big profit

you will be rich fast, but i aren't sure how much fun you will have just watching the numbers in your bank account grow while not actually playing and basketball games

everything the naked virus says is correct and he is an amazing manager, but i think his way to success is just not for me
