Hey!

Second draft? So this means it's your second season on BB. Hope you enjoy the game ;-).

I'm not that experimented but no one has respond to your question yet, so let me give my opinion:
- 3 ball draftee: If a prospect drops out a 3 ball potential it means you'll draft a star or all star player.
- 6'10 PG: It depends on how many balls this draftee has pop out regarding his star rating. If he has 5 star rating balls this mean he'll have respectable primary stats for a PG (passing, handling like you mentioned).

This is my understanding of the draft though. I may be wrong, even if I don't think so, but if so: hope that someone can explain the correct draft process.

Is the "group demonstration" worthwhile? My assumption would be a strong "no", so much so that I wonder if I'm missing something here.

It depends on what you are looking for, but I think Group Demonstration is almost never worthwile except in the case someone already mentioned: If there are more than 10 18-year olds with one and two balls.

It is worthwile, however, if you are looking for both 19 and 18-year olds. The thing is, I can't think of any reason someone would want to pick a 19-year old over an 18-year old rookie. I think you can't compare any 19-year old rookie, who is coming from draft, to a 19-year old who has already have a full season of training and came from draft a year earlier as a 18-year old.

In my draft, I first wanted to see the ages and heights of all draftees, so I used Scouting cominbe function. Which is, in my opinion, the best way to go. After that, I found only 4 18-year olds were among 1 and 2 ball rated players. Since I wanted to see only 18-year olds, using Group demonstration would be a loss of points. Why?

Group Demonstration is the same as "Scouted once". But option "Scouted once" uses only one point. So if I used Group demonstration to see all four 18-year olds, I'd spend 10 points on a thing I could use only 4 points.

I hope I made myself clear, since I'm not a native english speaker...

i've got these guys:
- 5 balls A+ with 4 balls potential 18yo
- 5 balls A- with 5 balls potential 18yo

who is better? what salary is a A+ and a A-?

First of all, it depends on whether you are drafting the player to train or you are drafting the player mainly just to sell. If you're planning to sell, then I recommend drafting the second draftee with 5 ball potential. Young player with high potential can be sold for a quite good price on TL. You could always argue that the first player has a better starting skill because it is A+, but I personally think that there isn't much difference between + and -. And you could always train A- player for the first few weeks and get his weak skills up, then sell him etc.
A+ is definitely better than A- but I don't think the difference is very significant. Not sure about the salary though.

Yes and no. In my case I had 9 18-year-olds in that group so you could argue that it's not worth the 10 points. But in my case I found 2 19-year-olds in there with a 5 skill rating. Their box scores look pretty nice so if I have enough scouting points in the end and if these 2 have good potential and the right position, they might still make it to the top 5 or top 10 in my list.

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

I wouldn't mind 3-4k 19yo Allstar+ in my third round pick. Why do you stay away from them in scouting when you could pick up a gem in the third round?

Imo the best way to start is by combine. U'll get all the heights and ages of all draftees. That's a great ground to go further. You can select 18yo's and separate them from 19yo's, sort them by height and then continue with your scouting depending on which position u r looking etc.
I used the combine and got 19 18yo's from which only 6 had worse than 3star raiting (and of course I wont even wanna consider looking at them anymore). Things looking pretty good this year :)

He asked for grade rating salary. Not salary of star rating.

I don't think there is any difference but A+ would have higher chance of being a better player because he played better.

Actually A+ DOES always have a higher salary compared to A-. It has nothing to do with how well he played in that particular match.
