i've checked the draft pool, and there was better players, but he just got really unlucky.

(18085251) this one has the best potential from all 18yo in draft pool. however its possible he only had 4 ball skill rating, so it wasn't his nr1 pick.
(18085250) 3 ball potential rating and star potential is 3 ball too.
(18085274) same as above.

k, that's not too much to choose from. I'd place the first above him due to his 4 ball potential, but the others all have 3 ball potentil just like the player he got.....so can understand he din't place them on top.

Yes it was a really horrid draft pool so what can he do? In fact overall in Australia it was a disgusting season for quality for draftees, I know our U21 coach has been crying. Almost every decent player is either all-star or less potential, or owned by players in the low divisions who may not have the resources and experience to train them properly. There are a few great exceptions but not enough.
