Probably I'm pushing my point a bit over the limit.That's true.

But I think that if injuries didn't exist in BB nobody would open a new thread complaining about it.
Like: "Damn, I've done everything right, my team is really strong, I need some injuries in my key players in order to lose in the playoff finals, injuries happen in real life, why the hell they don't exist here??".
But a claim like the following could appear: "Damn, my team is inferior and I need to win next game, why there are no injuries in this game?? I really need that my opponent's key players get injured in order to give me some chance to beat him!!".

Why not adjust the injury system to still allow players to play, but limit their effectiveness?

Why not have injuries such as...

Bruised Elbow (1 week duration) - Reduces FT / JS / IS by 2 ie. Wondrous JS becomes Sensational for the week.
Broken Finger (2 week duration) - Reduces JS / JR / IS by 4
Concussion (1 week duration) - Reduces OD / ID / RB by 2

And many other random possibilities..

At least that way.. our players may still play, but their effectiveness will be limited.

Im definitely one for injuries.. being a inferior side, i need all the luck i can get to win. a win is a win, its satisfying.

My PG still isn't back from his 2 week injury and now my C is out for 2 weeks as well. It sucks but that is basketball.

I think adding a more specific injury system could help.

For example, when a player gets injured, the game should specify the exact injury (broken toe, pulled hamstring, etc) and let the manager decide if he wants to play the player. A lot of NBA players still play when they get injured. Perhaps temporarily decreasing the injured players' efficiency and abilities in game would make it more realistic and give managers more control to their team, then when the player recovers, everything will go back to normal. For such injuries such as a broken arm, obviously a player wont be able to play, but a sore finger most likely won't keep a good player off the court (might negatively affect his jumpshot though ;] )

first of all we won't get such a decision live, and after the game it would make less sense. An overall i think te player decide if they play, and they had a doctor with taping quality if we compare it to BB.

when you say, player A will play the whole game instead of taking care of his health, and the game is already finished. The command would come a bit late.
