Some words about Big 8 conference teams.

Chicago flames. After some acquisitions at the end of last season chicago managed to surprise and win enough games to avoid relegation. Chicago has a good inside game with De la heras and Bezic and a big threat called Chen Changguo that shoots shoots and shoots.

Cleveland Crazies. Our beloved Fella will try it again this season. Marmolejo is a dominating center and he is not alone... Backhouse, Espinar and his recent acquisition Sanglitan complete a well balanced inside game. However, don't get fooled his biggest threat is still Barry "the shadow". You will have to guess and a lot to figure out what position he will play.

Colored zebras. This team could be easily called Hou Zepeng and friends. All zebras's chances depend on this player. He is without any doubt a monster and probably one of the biggest threats in the league..... but.... in this division we have learned through out the latest seasons that you need more than that to keep it up in this league. A well balanced team is more effective... His chances will depend on the evolution of his young players and maybe.... acquisitions.

Red terrors. This team is balanced. Ten players over 10K. You won't find a dominating player which it can give the terrors the chance to change tactics and be less predictable.

San jose sharks. It is the new demoted team in the league. Right now it seems that this team is under some serious rebuilt. It looks like a piece of cake but until we see where is the managing going this season you better watch out.

Tachenko. This team is known also as the awesomeness. It has a cool and smart manager that with the help of the Mayagoitia's boys will kick your ass. (and yes this is my team. any problem with the description?? lol )

TDX dutchmen. In my opinion this team is one of the favorites to win it all. Three outside players (Gagis, Romary, Hutson) that will tear your team apart before you wink. His inside scoring game is not that good but the defense is.

VD's Together with Dutchmen are the favorites to win the conference. This team has a payroll over 300K (now selling some players) and the biggest son of a bitch of the league... Ken Wilson... he has a salary of nearly 100K...He will either bankrupt the team or lead it to Div II. VD's has the team to make it this year.

In resume. VD's and Dutchmen will probably dominate and fight each other for the conference championship. The Crazies will be close to these teams. If you own any of the other teams... pray because you suck

Crap, Romary stepping into a serious leadership role this season...the French have never been strong under pressure.

Good luck to everyone tonight. Looks like I get to take my first lump of the season via the hands of the Bobcats. We'll see what we can do I guess, but I have to train this season and make a deal or two.

with you TIE and my SG draining all those shots, i think i got lucky with this win.
It shows your dominant interior game even under my 2-3 zone you manage to get a strong rating for inside scoring and strong inside defence. sell few players to get some decent guards or two will make you top few teams in this league probably.

p.s. RECAPSSSS!!

Recaps Game 1

Bobcats at Rougher Nation
With one team looking to bang inside and the other shooting away this game was sure to be a fan pleaser. The home team banged it down low and Runyon and Kvecinskis combined for 55 pts. Seems like a hard point total to ovecome but the Bobcats had an answer in the play of Kucumen. He drained 46 on the nation defense and single handedly dismanted the Rougher Nations dreams of taking the first game of the season. Kucumen's play and the Nation getting called for 18 fouls helped the Bobcats bring win number one to their team. Bobcats 115 Rougher Nation 102

P and C at Crank Dat
With Crank Dat coming off a strong season 15 the fans looked to keep the wins a coming. The P and C crowd thought otherwise. Garcia drained 4 three pointers for the P and C gang and totalled 29 for the game. These points combined with another 3 of his teammates going into double digits was just enough to hold off 5 Soulja's in double digits. 3 point field goals and a little added effort were the difference in this one. P and C made the 3's and Crank Dat did not. P and C 92 Crank Dat 90

Vikings at Prov City
One went low and one pushed it hard. In the end running it seemed to be the answer. Carmona had 28 and that combined with a stingy Prov City defense allowed Prov City to pull away from the Vikings early. An additional 20 rebounds didn't hurt matters either. Prov City 113 Vikings 90

Challengers at Blasters
These old warriors decided to start off the season fighting it out early. Blasters felt the need to run while the Challengers decided to slooowww it down. Well that was supposedly the plan but if Marangon put 51 on the Blasters playing slow who knows what would have happened in fast forward. 51 is impressive but not if you are the only one who scores for your team. The Blasters had 6 in double digits which was just enough for the Blasters to take the W on this one. Blasters 112 Challengers 98

VD's at Sharks
With the Sharks putting the hearts into this one they wanted to show VD's just how big their bite was. All in all this game was a tad bit of snoozer with each team trying out their squads for the first time of the season. Each team struggle to score but luckily the VD's had Arnaud who drained 31 by pounding it inside. Arnauds 31 was more then enough to keep the sharks from circling. VD's 85 Sharks 70

continued

Terrors at Flames
With two teams who took their turns struggling at different times last season only to turn their teams around late this looked to be a very interesting game. Terrors put a bunch into this one and combined the teams put up 197 shots to the crowds pleasure. The terrors had consistent scoring but so did the flames. The Flames looked more like a flamethrower from 3 land and that was the difference in this one. Flames 116 Terrors 104

Dutchmen at Zebras
The Zebras had an impressive night rebounding the ball and look to be dominate in the paint. They need to be able to turn those rebounds into points and with that they struggled at times. With 20 offensive rebounds you would think that would lead to a win but in this case they couldn't finish the deal and couldn't keep Hutson and Romary from scratching out a win. The Zebras coach was heard after ward in a press conference trying to figure out how they got 20 offensive boards but couldn't produce points. "It is definately a cause for concern but the season is young". Dutchmen 101 Zebras 90

Tachenko at Crazy's
With one of the older rivalry games Tachenko looked to come in and pound the ball inside. This is no shock as they have one of the stronger inside games in the league. The Crazys also played to their strength going with a motion and hoping the guards could pull it out. With Tachenko putting some heart into this one they went up early. The Crazy guards help pull them back into this one and tied it up late in the game. After Tachenko pounded it down low a couple times late Barry missed a 3 pointer to tie the game at the buzzer. Tachenko 110 Crazys 107

MVP got to give it to Marangon with his 51 even though it did not produce a W. I know you think otherwise that is fine feel free to post. Got to give some props to Kucumen as well.

P.S. Recaps are a bit harder when we are playing cup lineups but I realize that everyone will be using some lineup magic in the next few weeks so I will simply comment on the players not what could have been.

I'm trying to reshape the roster and switch to a different training regimen. I need a small forward and i have one to train now....might be a long season, but if I can stay up this season I am confident I could possibly make the playoffs next. We will see.

Good game to your squad as well.
