I'm heading away for a weekend trip tonight so I won't be home to add people to the west league.

But I have created the league and added some. I came across two people who won't have supporter long enough so if someone can remind everyone in the fishbowl pl to update their subscription.

Not in the right forum but I have limited time. And go great 8!!!

While its disappointing to see DFBS go bot, I'm quite glad we do have a bot over here - because noone deserves autorelegation in the big 8 this season.

so who deserves it in the gr88 this season?

WB, WA & BHB r all locked in 4 eva

koop & hopelessly addicted seem 2 have no fear of spending whatever it takes

CROCKERS & yoda have worked very hard 2 be here & really deserve it

i had 2 wait season 17 4 Da Fat Boy Slim
i had 2 wait season 18 4 SmeltzTroopers
see a theme?

now im here i dont care if i end the season a million in debt im not going anywhere

so which gr88 team deserves it?

haha, I wasn't implying that anyone in the great 8 deserves relegation!

The ABBL in general is getting to the point where its really hard to see who is likely to get relegated - in the past it was really hard for newly promoted teams to stay up, whereas now alot of the teams are coming up much better prepared, making things alot tougher.

And good to see you are willing to put in a fight to stay up, makes things much more entertaining.

A combination of the older teams being complacent and the newly promoted teams being better prepared and wanting to stay up more.

Or just a combination of the market and it's crash ;)

I think BB wanted this gap between Div 1 and Div 2 closed and now they have it but I think at the expense of good management. I am not saying new team are not good managers but for teams to be able to save all year and then buy a rental team for playoffs is taking away from the skill of the game.

Haha

I actually reckon its gotten harder for teams to rent a team for the playoffs and actually win it all. Firstly they sacrifice HCA, which as we all know, is huge. And second, alot of teams now have good wage efficient players, which aren't that far behind the 300K wage monsters (for example, from my team Manfrotto has more total skill points than a Radford, they are just allocated differently).

5 or 6 seasons ago the 300K wage players were still cheap, and probably a good recipe for short term playoff success. I'm not so sure that is the case now.

Its a total different ball game now.

Us old timers remember when there was actually a transfer market it was pointless tanking, you had to train and develop your team over time to be successful. You couldn't tank for a season and raise enough money to buy a championship team. Back then you tanked and you would have only raised enough money to fund half of a 40k C purchase...

Alright I'm gonna go back to my chair can someone bring me my slippers?
