After morning shoot around today we had time to catch up with Pitbulls coach James Calahan. Heres how the interview went:

Reporter: What do you think of the Gilmer Buckeyes?

Coach: Well, they are a probably the deepest team in the great 8 so you never know who's going to come up big for them and it could wear us out with quality players on all the time.

R: What can you take from their game against trojan nation?

Coach: Like I said they are very deep so we cant really take anything playerswise. But i think their performance was weak, They barely beat up on a team that hasn't even made any changes with their players since joining. But they will be very rested.

R: Last game Andrade put up 31 points 20 rebounds. Can you expect the same tonight?

Coach: I would like it. But to expect it I cant. Those are very hard numbers to put up consistently.

R: Can you give us a hint on tactics tonight?

Coach: I cant, You never know which people are watching.

R: Who do you think needs to step up tonight for a W?

Coach: I think we need more production from Parilla he needs to rebound better than last game.

R: Alright, Coach thats it! Thanks for your time!

Coach: No problem!

Stunning Loss

The Pitbulls were shocked by the Gilmer Buckeyes in a game that came down to the final minutes. The 112-120 loss for the Pitbulls made them 1-1 in their first season in IV.58. The Pitbulls lost the battle on the boards by 6 which was a crucial part of their fall. A rare sighting was the Pitbulls not having a double digit rebounder. But Ben Terrell did have a double double with 11 points, 10 assists. When Ben Terrell was praised on his game by a reporter he responded with this comment " What game? My stats aren't important to me at all. I just always want to make sure the team gets the W." The Pitbulls let the 27 year old french man Xavier Vidal run all over them with 30 points. James Calahan had this to say in the post game interview " We obviously didn't come prepared to play defense today. Thats something we are going to have to do if we want to win games or even make the playoffs. David Parilla did step up to Calahan calling him out earlier on tuesday with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Soler Turmo did have 22 points before fouling out as a result of the "Let them play" tactic. Tune in tomorrow for when our Pitbulls take on the Lumber Jacks, a D3 team in the cup or buy tickets for the Fanta Center.

New Pitbull

The Pitbulls have locked up a 25 year old SG named David Maggiani for $104,100. The argentinian had this to say " I'm excited to be here in San Diego to play for a competitive team. I feel that i have a very important role on this team and i'm pumped."
Rumour has it Maggiani provides an excellent jumper and average defense. GM John Wilson made this comment on Maggiani " We're excited to have David on our team, He will provide some much needed depth for our team."
