trailing by 6 with 2 minutes to go, 3 defensive stops, 3 rebounds out of bounds, game one should go to Delta 9 at this point, can the Kelt's force a game 3?

I think game three is all but assured. You might even put a scare into him game three. Good showing Game one with less enthusiasm.

That's funny, hrudley. lol. You could be a sportscaster

I too was impressed also with my team's defensive stats in our recent playoff game. All those blocks and steals !!

I guess inside isolation doesn't work very well vs. a good 3-2 defense. Of course, had you played motion, princeton or R&G, you'd have fared much better.

Like I said before, you've had a very impressive first season up here. I hope I don't have to face you next year and/or the year after ...

To the Kelts,

What's up with the lack of effort ?? This is the Finals, baby ..

I suppose it means that you are very confident. I can't say I blame you (too much) as your team kept it close without trying on the road. Game 3 awaits: I guess that will be the big game ...

As the lesser team without HCA, I would only ever go Normal, Normal, Crunch Time.
Some points for this:

1. If you crunch time game one and lose, buh-bye. You got nothing for a possible game 3 on the road. Good chance other team can end you in game two as well.
2. You have to believe and act accordingly that you can win at home or else what's the point. With Normal at home (game 2), you can bait away team (Delta in this case) to end it and thus maybe him going CT again. If he beats you at your place, then so be it, as he is better than you. If you win at home with Normal in this case, he has now gone CT, CT to your N, N and you have a big advantage there. You are at least forcing Delta to coach a bit and think about it. If Delta goes Normal next game revving up for game 3, at least you are too. I know a case can be made for home team to CT here since, well, if he doesnt win he is done... I get that but it really hampers a game 3 chance.
3. The HCA team should always go CT in game one to get the win and leave yourself with options. He can now normal in game two if he wants and play it safe for game 3, or he can choose to take advantage with his good team and the fact you *should* go normal in game 2.

So the only question in this series for me is ...will Delta go for the throat in game two or will he play the long game and play the safe game 3 win? Another thing I see people worrying about by not going for the throat (and a solid worry with this game) is ... injury. One less game means one less chance for injury for Delta as the favored team.

Yeah, the inside isolation failed miserably. The thing I was hoping for was that by playing Busch at SF that he might be able to drive by a guard that's on him and hopefully have layups - it also allowed me to go with a fairly big lineup to boost the rebounding fairly dramatically. I kicked around the idea of an LI but even with a 3-2 your inside defense is very potent and as is extremely evident, I don't have a whole lot of inside scoring. It still might have been better if only because it might have cut down on the turnovers, but I figured I had a choice of either trying to lose by somewhere between 10 and 20, or rolling the dice and possibly losing by a ton. Getting absolutely rolled at home with the Princeton leading into the playoffs pushed me more in favor of trying something unorthodox - and maybe it could have worked if your team weren't so annoyingly good. ;)

I have to say I agree with Burgertime about the effort, though - I'm sure I'd go PON, PON and POCT myself without homecourt in the finals, on the theory that if you can't win at home game 2 in that scenario you just aren't promoting, and then have the third game be for the whole ball of wax.

Does it matter? The Kelt's are 0-5 in team history against Delta 9. The odd's of a game 3 are slim.
