Second Team:
Redbacks
USA defeat Australia 91-70 (31235)

It was a well fought out game, but we were well off the Americans in terms of class. I was amazed Team USA didnt use a fast pace, given they are battling out a spot for the semi final and need percentage. There is now a real battle going on for a finals birth, and just a shame we are not a part of it.

MVP Votes:
3 votes- Doran. (18pts on 8-11fg, 5 boards, 1 assist, 15.5 rating) in 15 mins game time!
2 votes- Grief (12pt, 2 assists, 2 rebs, 2 stls, 15.0 rating).
1 vote- Santegoeds (9 rebs, 7pts, 1 ass, 1 stl, 1 blk, 15.0 rating).

Next week is our final world cup game vs China. It is a dead rubber since one of USA and Lithuania will be fighting it out for 4th in their last match.

bad luck - good effort tis season though

the Points per 100 shots are interesting. Base Offence is always a good offence is use to see where deficiencies/strengths are offensively.

Well this was always going to be a difficult task but what you have achieved both this season and especially last season has been very impressive. Certainly a highly succesful tenure. I assume we keep the curent team for the last meaningful game (as it does have a large impact on our rankings) but then will be starting to look at next season's players?

That's the aim, yes. I've been in close contact with players for next season, it certainly is a strong one.

I think he should cull and put in other players, such as my own, so that I can get a boost in merchandise

errrr

I mean

so that they can get some U21 experience before next season.

Ha ha, Nash is 21, so he won't be in line for a development spot sorry. Kewell would have to be, and I haven't seen "long fur bob" (33832870) for a while.

I really disapprove of the pulling of the real players while there are real games for several reasons:

1) It affects our national rankings.
2) It can upset tournament results and be unfair to other teams who had aims we don't know about.
3) It is unfair on the trainers of the U2 players, they spend four seasons preparing for their moment in the sunlight and then to get yanked sometimes after just a few games is a pathetic way to treat them. They deserve to play all of the real games.
4) It is a good opportunity to be a little experimental and try things out in the U21 environment and hopefully learn a thing or two.
