If you'd have read all my answer to Alonso and not only what you want, just to say me again that I'm ignorant, you would have noticed and understood that my "abominable" suggestion was simply to leave the manager the choice to make a player open to NT or not. If he accept what i called "the risk" to say yes, than he takes all the risks, so, to answer to your dumb question: no, it would have been not possible to prevent serbian coach to call him since you said yes the first time he was called in NT. If you sell the player and the new owner check "no" to the call in NT, than he will not be available for Serbia and Serbian coach has to study new solutions.
That's all. It's not complicated.
My suggestion is to leave the choice to club managers to leave their players open to NT teams or not. If they say yes, then they accept everything from NT, until they sell the player. If they say no, as I would like to be able to do, then NT coaches can go f-something themselves and look elsewhere. As simple as that.

I do not know why everyone is overreacting to this.

I think this is the problem. You cant understand what this suggestion will cause to other managers that love NTs which are lot of people

I do not understand why insult other people that think that NT are not so interesting and NT coaches not so interesting either.

I'm overreacting because BB is a community game, you can't have fun if you play alone in your corner, it's the interactions with the other users that make the game fun. And that there's nothing more "community" than National Teams.

You can't win NT games alone, you need to have a strong community behind you. I've leaded Belgium from 0 to a bronze medal. Leaded doesn't mean did it alone. We have succeeded because I've been followed in my project by several managers who have been ok to train players for our National Team. They have purchased the players (or drafted them), they have purchased the staff, the infrastructures, they have followed my instructions, during 3 (IRL) years! It was a community project, not me alone in my corner selecting the best belgian players. It's tons of hours spent to make training plans, sending bb-mails, discussing about training plans,... You think NT games only concern NT managers but it's totally wrong!!!

Joe

Very touchy.
But this doesn't means that you have to impose this point of view to all managers. If someone want to work with a NT project it's wonderful, and he has to be free to do it. Never said that you have not to have fun with NT. I just want to be free to not do it. Why you NT extremists have to invade the way of playing of other managers? Why NT should be such a beautiful thing for everyone? I do not think at all that NT are the most "community" things in the game, just watch NT threads in NT forums, are often poors, full of catfighting, and you can read always the same users. It seems to me that NT talibans are more in their corner than others. I do not want to take off the toy from you, but you want to oblige me to say "ohhhh how beautiful NT are and yes please NT coach make whatever you want" and if I'm not so enthousiast then I'm ignorant. Just because I want to be less NT involved in my play.
It's kind dictatorial.
Anyway I made my suggestion, I do not have nothing more to say and I'm tired to discuss with NT talibans, devs will do what they want and it will be the best choice for the game.
Bye all.

Screwing my player and my fun

I'm very curious how your player and your fun are getting screwed by playing for the NT.

It was the answer to that:

"don’t keep your players in shape or do not train them as needed for the NT if you don’t want them to be called up".

So then train your players up and keep them in good shape for you team. How does the NT take away from your club experience? I'm genuinely asking because I know there are plenty of managers that do not care for the NT side of this game.
