My current starting 5 would cause some headaches in this league right now... My guards are hugely under salary compared to their actual skills at this point. Gonna need to promote or start over!

Wow it really has tightened up in the Great 8 with very little between first and fifth.

Next few weeks will be very interesting with the way the draw has panned out.

Windies continue there quest to be the aggressor and obtain "buy in players" with a multi hundred thousand dollar bid on the 160K per week Aussie Clyde Ó Cuileann (8157597) and others.

Meanwhile the other "overachieving on a shoe string budget team" (meant as a compliment), HADDERS is now a game clear in front in the great 8

Great to see Vios back in the forum.

The death of the forum and the fact I backed myself at the 250 to 1 odds that were on show at the start of the season have both been motivating factors in my pursuit of a return to the ABBL

Some good banter going on here. Keen to see who pulls the trigger on purchases first. In 2.1 there has been a lot of transfer movement by the mid tier teams, however like here the main contender are keeping their cards pretty tight to their chests.

Surely Windies will land a big move soon

May have got carried away a little. Well their was this Norwegian team throwing their weight around in the bidding so I kind of had to show him a lesson. Probably at the expense of my wallet. He will fit well into the training regime which is a positive, and now I have 3 Aussie trainees who will be quite polished in 2 seasons time.

Sid you have no idea what it's like being in a dead forum. Come check out mine some time, it's a ghost town. It's the primary reason why I've decided to chuck it all in and get the hell out of there. I was having second thoughts as the top in the opposite conference made an early bid. Can't possibly handle another season like this, if I don't promote, it could be the end of me!
