Good work mon. A pity for me Cunning Linguists threw the match but good luck for you, I guess you have been here longer & deserve the break. Do you think you would have beaten them if they played Groppo, Franukevicius, Bacardí & sensible tactics?

Bad work by me. 5 mins in maybe my best player Gavin Couperwhite who was already 3/4 went down injured & was replaced by Erwin Conjusta who went 0/7 but did manage 6 fouls. Coach has sent him back to the gym this week to work on not being a failure :)

So now last game doesn't matter & it is me & LORDY. Hey LORDY send your players to my place before the match & I have some hot women that will entertain them, and some special cookies that will help them relax. I think we all need a pipe now :P

I am tempted to buy another one or two players, you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck out of your guys...

Good luck windies.

i hope you can beat him, mainly because you have kept you team together for the whole season which is the right way to do it. I actually think you might win as your team has shown they can play real well together, whereas Lordy's team havent played together and we dont know how they are going gel together, whether he has got player which compliment each other nicely.

In other news i am keeping a keen eye on the news feed to make sure i can react to any moves that PPH should make.

If Windies beat me I will be happy for him, I don't think I deserve to stay up using this tactic.

Mind you it's the same tactic that's gotten nearly every (or is it every) team that I've seen promote to the ABBL, since entering this league.

Have a look at the ABBL also, the talk about who's going to win the relegation battle is more exciting than the actual title itself! It's all about who's buying up to save the day at the last minute.

Can't beat em, join em!

Probably wouldn't have won. I was ready to be relegated to be honest.

yer sorry about that, im in the middle of player transition at the moment, so managing game shape and minutes and the fact that im still trying to keep a good stead for of enthusiasm for the playoffs, meant that i had TIE against MMM.

Would he have won? possibly. those guys you mentioned, Groppo onyl has respectable GS at the mo, and i just dont have a good C anymore, so yer. its debateably.. it was a MMM home game. I probably would have had to have Normaled to have won, which, this late in the season, wouldnt have happened.

Still..... BB can throw some funny things your way, so im sure you will have some fun with Team Lordy in the relgation series. :) Whoop him! haha.

Not every. I would have to check a bit more carefully but I don't think I really did it. Season 17 when I won my core at the start of the season was:

Guards: Mu, Oliver, Vallo, Barton and Kent.
SF: Rober
PF: big hole a collection of bad Cs playing PF.
C: Sherwin.

The only big change for the whole season was I sold Kent (didn't need 5 good guards) and bought Juan Carlos Gamboa so I finally had a PF. I admit it was late in the season and he only played three regular season games.

Season 18 I tanked the season so sold off Juan Carlos Gamboa, Rober, Mu and most of my team so that I was down to the salary floor. Late that tanking season I made the two next big additions picking up Sperbert and Lawrance.

Season 19 I won division II again. At the start of that season my core was:

Guards: Oliver, Vallo, Barton, Kumar and Hołówka.
SF: Sperbert
PF: Lawrance
C: Sherwin

During the season I made two changes, I basically traded Hołówka ($50k SG) for Lluís Cardil ($60k SG who had better matched skills to my teams needs and strategies). Then I admit right at the end I did rent Ander Oriol a $90k C (cost me $300k to buy) for the playoffs just to give me some depth, so that an injury to a key wouldn't see me spending another season in division II. At the time his quote was something like that he was insurance. I was 20/21 at the time and felt that unless I had an injury I should win but I just wanted that extra buffer so I could survive an injury.

So I respectfully claim not every.
