Well, AZ, it took nothing short of a miracle for the Riverdogs to end up where we did, but you know something? We'll take it! A big thank you goes to Saul and his fine team for the win over TF!

I didn't only play 3 to tank. I only played three to ensure no injuries before my relegation series.

I wonder how big of a difference it is to your merch between saaaay...two high salary guys, same skills, same salary, clones if you will. Except one you drafted and the others just a USA guy you got off the TL?

I agree with AZ: if you gave up on training for a couple weeks, you could be in the finals.

Ya, looking back on things now, I wish I hadn't picked up that 3rd 18 year old to train. I also wish I hadn't CT'd that cup game vs. MacLeod. Definitely reinforces the desire in me to never CT a non-playoff enthusiasm game again.

But I still got the playoffs thanks to your efforts :) despite Ortho's best attempt to keep me out. And for what it's worth Ortho, you could always still PON like you wanted to, you won't hear any complaints from me :) Definitely looks like it will be an interesting and tightly-contested playoffs. Good luck to everyone.

I should even relaxe it a bit more...I´ve lost 1 position @draft

I scouted 0 points this season... not sure you gained much by staying ahead of me in the draft :D

I'm not a big fan of training 18 year olds. It seems like you have to sacrifice too much to do it. You can't have a cup run and try hard in every league game.

Especially in this league, it seems pretty risky considering a possible accidental relegation. You managed to train some youngsters for awhile though and avoided the relegation series, so you've escaped that trap. I suppose that's the benefit of having a slightly easier conference this season. But you've already done the hardest part and it'll only get easier for you in the future, so...gamble paid off.

My next young trainee would be anywhere in the 20-23 age group instead of the ridiculously sought after 18-19 age group. I don't want to sacrifice a win if I can help it.

My predictions for the evening:

Slashing Dragons -- Walker Wiggles - I think Harp has a chance but Walker pulls it out
I'll Replace You With Mac... -- LA Athletics - Derrick beats a bot, another mediocre achievement for his wall
Bullish Mentality -- Dog River Riverdogs - Pap's D is too good.
DC Dribble Penetrators -- Technical Fouls - DC upsets TF in a nail biter.
Grim Koalas -- Imperial Phantoms - Azariah's new mercenaries make Rambo proud.
Knicktardeder -- Bruno's Fighting Grizzlies -- I always pick myself...

I'm agreeing with everything but I've got Technical Fouls barely holding on and beating DC Dribble.

Btw, I played Pap two games ago, and he did this to me:
3 2:19 49 — 55 J. Urrutia (A) injured on the play.

He's still injured, I want an investigation! Pap has 2-0'd me this season, but both games were surprisingly close late. I think the big factor here is that Pap just has better GS than me. I don't know if he trained it or had some nice minute management or what, but his team is peaking at the right time. So I've still got him beating me.

One reason I wanted to avoid the relegation series, was that I just had this huge feeling that people were going to buy guys at the deadline. I actually thought we'd see at least two teams do it instead of only one. Oddly enough, I thought you Fatcurry, was the most likely candidate, then Bruno, then GK, and then lastly Phantoms. Well...I got that order reversed.

I am not saying Pappy had anything to do with this, but I did find it odd going on two weeks ago Pappy casually asked me if I knew any "dscreet hitmen". I kind of brushed it off; but now......
