Fouls and injuries I agree with. Garbage time and freedom of coach can be eliminated by proper lineup manipulation, in my experience.

Look at my last game.At the end of the third quarter i went in garbage time and without injuries or foul troubles(3 fouls made in 36 minutes),my coach substituted him with players setted as reserves in other roles

You dressed far too many players for the game. Simple as that.

Best way IMO to get 48mins is to dress 8 players. 3 subs on the 2 non-training positions and SFDC. The ONLY time that fails is via an inj/foul out. Even in this event it is unlikely a lucky fan will come in (maybe temporarily) one of the other 3 subs will be allocated to the position.

No way you can dress 12 guys and expect a guy to play 48mins even without setting any back up or reserve for them.

I used to think people who complained about the substitution pattern were just mistaken. Maybe they put too many players in, pick the wrong coaching strategy, etc. Well today's game, I just saw my PG (whom I'm training) get replaced by my backup Center. W. T. F. ?. And at that point in the game there was 1 - 1.5 minutes left and I was up by <10, >5. No foul trouble, no injuries, no blowout. PG replaced by a backup C.

*shrugs*

EDIT: I'm going to take this as a sign that the BB-Gods are telling me to go back to 5 person training instead of 3.

What's the difference in free throw skill between the two?

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

2 levels higher. I guess if you look at it that way if you only consider the FTs. Just takes you by surprise when a C with no PG skills gets put in at the point.

The substitution algorithm, while it's much better than a few seasons ago (esp. in end of quarter situations), is still annoying.

It bothers me that I cannot have a 5k scrub play 10-15 minutes in a game. My aim here is not minutes-handling for training/form purposes. Rather, it is to give teams a chance to see their best player do well in the last quarter (rather than start like crazy and then miss shot after shot down the stretch).

1) What is the principle behind your choice?

2) Would you consider giving us an option (like the "let them play"/"sit them" button) to be more generous towards the bench?

3) Is this your attempt to exact revenge on Scalabrine?

2) Please not (only as another tactic patern not by changing current ones). It is bothering but achieveable. very often you have an opposite problem.

This was an honest question. He said in his next post that he did not, in fact, play SFDC.
Maybe you weren't following the thread. I asked if anyone had proof of what I suggested not working, he said take a look at his game, I asked if he played SFDC, and he said no.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
