You're not the only one who got hurt in the offseason...

My goodness, how many teams will end up needing to blow themselves up this season?

I don't know, but as long as they keep the "no income possible" method for the offseason, I'm guessing quite a few more will be needing it soon.

I mean, I have a 400k team salary, and losing games. The offseason put me right around -500k by the start of the season. I am losing 50k a week. Figure the math on that, I'll lose everything sooner or later, so I'd rather only lose 300-500k now then 900k by the time they auto-price all my players.

Sheesh, this is brutal.

I am in the same boat as well. As much as I enjoyed training big men I just simply cant afford it. I was also in the same -400k hole to start the season so I am going the same route. I will keep a few players but I am pretty much blowing up my team. Thankfully, Lilburn Luchadors quit and I have a easy draw in the cup so I wont fall too far behind while I am in the whole process of retooling my team. I do think they need to adjust the economics somehow because this is just ridiculous.

The economy is killing several teams it seems.

The market is completely ridiculous, Zigfridas sold for 800k... a 40k shooting guard with Prodigious JS, proficient JR and marvelous OD.... Shit had I known I would've been online and kept the mofo.
I'd love to stack my team with several 800k worth of Zigfridas type players.

For a while I'd thought I was in shaky financial shape. Of course, it seems as though I've been able to benefit more from the offseason salary reduction than most. Right now I'm sitting on about $64K while losing $14K a week, but that's not including the cup. I also have two home games next week, so I'll be safe for a good long while despite having seven players making over $45K per week.

Looking at your transfers, it seems as though you have a solid base and still about $2.6 million in the bank, plus whatever you get from reselling Oleszczuk. I certainly prefer your route of rebuilding to that which Googily is taking.

Perry Gipson probably sold for as much as he did due to name recognition in the US. He's not a $4.3 million player in this market, as he doesn't have much room left to improve, either. Having said that, it's obviously easier to get post players on the cheap, so depending on how much these players go for tonight, maybe Googily won't be in bad shape.

Yeah I was kind of shocked when I checked my balance and he sold but it kind of makes sense that he bought him since he listed everyone for sale.

With the center I just got, and the next one I plan on getting, I won't be in bad shape with a starting 4 lineup. But, I'm going with the re-training guards route, so to not be in the complete shitter with outside ratings, I needed a guard like Perry. It sucked to have spent as much as 4.3 mil though. But I should have some left over I may get lucky enough to get a 3rd center which would help out tremendously.

Wel I certainly wish I had 2.8m left in the bank to get a good Sg with.., unfortunately the reason my team was out up for sale was because I was in the hole 900k. I didn't put these players up by choice lol. But I am happy I went with the route I did. Once I get a good Sg then I'll be very happy with my squad. I'll have 2 good trainee centers, a good pf, a damn good sf/pf and 2 good guards, yea I'm sad I don't have the 10 man deep roster anymore but 8 works too.
And after getting myself out of the hole and last nights home game, I have roughly 2.3m left to spend on a Sg.
