The point is, he has no right to post someone else's players stats on the forum, just because he is able to view them as part of the NT.

I agree with Matt, its irrelevant that he is a young trainee that wont make a difference in the short term. Its just not polite to post a guys draftee for all to see when in all likelihood he hasnt even had a chance to log on and view him yet himself! If he had just bb mailed shanmag then i dont see a huge issue, if he had asked the owners permission and he agrees then i dont see an issue.

Pretty average that whitebeard hasnt had the decency to reply to our concerns in him doing this too to be honest, maybe he is busy grooming his beard.

Well I used to post all the India draftees on the offsite forum but since its demise (or not) I have been posting all the guys I have been saving from botting teams on the forums. Mind you as their owners are inactives about to go bot none of them have objected. I haven't posted the skills of the 20 or 21 year old players on the forums but I do have a public pop tracker where I record for everyone to see what pops each player gets each week. Kind of a bit of public pressure to keep them training I hope.

I do think this is a sort of grey area. I remember one of my official mentees was owned by a high profile Aussie manager who told me to leave him alone and stop bothering him and that his 19 year olds skills were secret. So I did.

What do you want? A public apology? How about you set yourself the same standard and instead of using the public forum to call me out, how about BB-mail me the issue? Could you have done that?

Stop trying to bait people and move on...

Well if people would actually use the off-site forum we could post these things there for people to view and things like this would be prevented.

Speaking of which, If I do get this U21 gig there will be an archive located in the forums for our monitoring.

Yeah, sometimes I feel like I'm just talking to myself on the off-site forum with the lack of responses. Of course, not everybody uses the off-site forum but there are so many things I can't discuss about on the main forums.

For instance, I leak a little information on the main forums and people go mad so quickly. I post a whole heap of information on the off-site forum with player skills and not a peep of word. I'm sure people use it to their own advantages as well... =/

That would be a great idea Leeroy. There is a lot to keep track and the best place is on the forum so that others can discuss about things together.

I actually do read all your information. However I'm not too involved in the NT and know next to nothing about the players and standards so I haven't put forth my input. I'll do my best to change that fact in the next 2 seasons as we'll be working together if all goes to plan.

I don't require an apology I mearly would have liked to have understood your reasoning for accessing someone's player and posting his stats for no good reason (he's 18 so chances are hes not making the full NT squad anytime close to your coaching reign) and without the permission from the owner which would be the decent thing to do. In hindsight does it not make sense to do this first? 

If you see no problem with this (which seems to be the case because you have taken no action to delete the post or explain your reasons for doing it) then this is exactly why im asking you for an explanation on the forums and not in a bb mail privately as you are our elected aus NT coach and you are using tools that have been given to you as our elected representative.  I feel well within my rights to ask you this question publicly on behalf of anyone else who would not like their players details posted without permission on the normal bb forums in this way - this isn't a private matter it has relations to you being NT coach. Furthermore its not an unreasonable question to answer publicly.

I don't personally have a problem with you whitebeard I hardly know you and rest assured if I had a problem with you as a person or your actual private buza team I would bb mail you as this wouldnt be the concern of the aus bb community. I actually respect you greatly for the time and effort you have put into the NT and the results you have gained. If you could just answer the question as NT coach it would be appreciated.

Okay, let's make it clear. I'm only ever going to post rookie players (18 year olds) and not anyone beyond. Not those who are close to U21 level, not those who are close to national level. You know as I do seeing you have a off-site forum account that amount of players' skills myself and past U21 and national managers have posted up on the off-site forum. People in Australia can easily assess it and look at current, past and future national and U21 players. Doesn't take a genius to search and figure out their skills.

Why did I post his stats? Because I wanted the public to know.

SBV is a questionable manager. Firstly he doesn't have a history of training players, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to train players given he got to ABBL. Secondly, SBV is an active manager but he played walkovers from 3rd of March to 5th of May. It may be for strategic reasons or it may be because of being inactive, who knows? Do I have faith in such a manager holding a player that can potentially play for the U21 or national team though? Finally, if I post his skills it allows those managers who have interest in buying a rookie to send a BB-mail to SBV himself to let him know they are interested.

At the end of the day it's his own player. Does he have the right to say no? Sure. Tell me if doesn't want it posted then I'll remove it. In fact, it could be for his own benefit to obtain a decent amount of income if he does sell him.

The real question you should ask is, what personal benefit do I gain from posting his skills? Would I have gained Shanmag's approval? Would I have not anticipated such negative remarks? If I wanted to uphold a respectable character to all the BB public would I have done that? Surely not. But I have no intention of thinking about myself personally. The thought was all on the U21 and national team. Especially the U21 team since it's in a transition phase with a new coach being elected. But then again, some could care less about the U21 and national team...
