Now that the draft rankings are locked in, I think it's safe to talk about what I saw in the draft class in more detail. There were thirty 19yo players versus only eighteen 18yo players, hence why I said draft is lacking in intelligence. And of those 18yo players, most of them weren't that good skills wise, I think I ended up scouting them all and only found a couple of 5's. So overall, it's a weak draft (some of the 19yo's might be good, but I only scouted a couple of those since I want 18yo's).
BUT... in amongst the riff-raff, lies one player that most managers in this game would kill for. Whoever gets this one player will be estatic, whilst the other 15 managers will go home disappointed. Soon, we'll find out who's lucky day it is.
EDIT: I have no idea how Mypolonga of all teams managed to scout out that player and stick him top of the draft board. I thought for sure it would either be Moteye, Warriors, or myself taking home the prize but somehow the newbie pulls a fast one on us.
Time to initiate aggressive negotiations methinks :P.
2nd EDIT: Just as I thought... The Moteye were going to get that 18yo HOF if the Tigers didn't somehow beat him to it...
