I'll suggest something and it lightly touches the debate on cheating.
I tried to suggest that a NT player could be called up only if he is playing for D.I team. A NT player is generally not affordable by D.II or lower anyway, unless it's a SF. However, a D.I leaguer can avoid this rule if his brother/father/friend makes an account ad trains a player up to desirable skillpoint sum. You would say that it's forbidden to buy players from that team! This is easily avoidable:
His brother/father/friend doesn't log into that account anymore, thus making the team go bot and the trainee is put on free agent list, where the D.I leaguer can buy him.
He basically cheated legally. That's why I think NT players should be from D.I teams only AND free agents should be removed (or at least a player can't join NT if he's been a free agent even once in his "life"). You would at least put some legitimacy into NT program. As it is, we all know a lot of players in best NTs were not being trained the "right way". GMs know this also, but can't do anything about it. It's up to BBs to make some changes or remove NT altogether. As it is right now, NT is becoming a farce.
