Yeah, I'm not asking for a lot here. Some FT training when you train JS or even IS. Something small. Every 5 JS or IS pops gives a FT pop or something.

Oh, well if you're not asking for a long, it's already been implemented:

Date Training Summary
12/20/2013 Jump Shot for Wingmen
Merlin Blankenship ↑popped↑ in Jump Shot from tremendous to wondrous .
Merlin Blankenship ↑popped↑ in Free Throw from inept to mediocre .

Voila! FT was trained with JS.

[seriously though, there's less correlation between FT% and FG% than most people think, and anyway, I don't take realism to be the overriding criterion when it comes to game design choices]

Thanks and good point. I'm just not sure if I want to "waste" a week of training on some young guns when I could train skill points. FT trains the same with any trainer and any age and I don't plan on having a team of old guys, so when would be best to train FT or even stamina? Even weeks like the All Star week I can still get my trainees valuable minutes.

On top of that I want a trainee of mine, Vest, to make the US U21 NT for S27. Seems like I would hurt his chances training FT's, even for a week.

I just don't see why team training stats aren't used as secondary skills in regards to pops. For example nothing would train passing other than passing, and I get that. But, JS should have some affect on FT's, even if it is small.

I don't know, I thought more people would agree.

Wow, I wonder how much JS would it take to have a FT pop. Seems like a lot. Pretty cool... Thanks for sharing.

If you don't want to waste time training FTs, you shouldn't waste time hoping that the FT fairy will arrive bearing FT pops. Personally, I think the solution would just be to scale FT percentage from maybe 10 instead of 0, so these anomalies will no longer occur without having to increase training speed for a skill that's already the fastest and easiest thing to train.

That's a suggestion I could live with. Make the floor of atrocious FT 10%, so we don't have these 0-954 FT over their career.

This seems like a good enough idea

Lets imagine what is a IV league of <any country> in real life. Does any professionals play there? I think not. Just some guys, who like to play ball. One of them is very funny. He has some skills and plays well, but everytime he goes to the free-throw line, he miss it on purpose. And counts proudly - zero from 952, zero from 953! Everybody laughs seeing another brick. All having fun. Guy proudly says "I have never ever made a free throw in a game"...

And here came you saying you cant miss next time, make at least 10% of it. How that guy should feel about this suggestion? :)

EDIT: The point of my post is following: You will never make a perfect game, as different people want different things. As long as it is not a bug (it is not a bug in this case), just use your imagination and situations like 0% from FT line will become possible. Btw, I am not saying, I am right here. Your suggestion makes sense. But I am the one, who believes that everything is fine here with free-throws. We have much bigger problems in this game.

Change of topic but Im just curious, what are the bigger problems that people want fixed? Keeping new players from leaving?
