Thats the spirit.

I was hoping that he might have got a pop in either or both JS or IS this week but not to be

Edit

I hope that Marchini serves you well and I commend you on your determination to get him

It's not often that you get a chance to buy someone who averaged 18 and 11 off 60% shooting in the ABBL last season, and much like Hampshire, Gian Luca Marchini was someone I had been eyeing with jealous eyes for quite some time. Ever since I picked up on how useful secondary skills can be in this game, I've always appreciated the 'Small Forward of Unusual Size', and Marchini and mllama's Michael Wayne are great examples of that player build.

Honestly, I was one of the luckiest managers in BuzzerBeater last season. I should've been forced to buy up for a relegation play-off at least, but everything that could've gone right did go right. I'm not counting on that happening again, and the new teams of division II look menacing. I too hope that Marchini serves me well in keeping out of the drop zone this season...

PS: I wouldn't say that a four-peat is completely out of the question for you yet... you could always go the late buy-up route that was popular in the mid-twenties (BB time).

Also not often that a player (a different player) who has a salary under 79 K can come 6th in the ABBLs MVP

My team is full of surprises

That said, how that player's 10/2/4 on 39% shooting managed to garner any MVP votes is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

My explanation is that one of the MVP voters was on drugs ;).

is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

And how someone could be currently paying only 800K for him is also one of those mysteries as is how he won 4 previous MVPs

Haha

The fact that you've managed to get 800K for him suggests one thing - your sales techniques sure work!

(Although in saying that - I lean toward OTT getting a small bargain with Marchini - I do rate him highly)

Look Id love to have Marchini still in my team but its not to be.

Short term Marchini is worth more than McInerny (Terry) and will serve Ott9 well, but long term is he worth 350 K more than McInerny?

Depends how he is trained. T-Mac should end up the better player though (I hope!).

$1.8m is a bit of a bargain for him, really. You've done well there.

Well it couldn't be a worst start for HSD. My number 1 trainee gets an injury in the first 3 minutes. His scrub replacement hogs the ball then fouls out. My new big Aussie trainee barely makes it to half time and fouls out.

At least on the other channel my Utopian team had a win.

Im not sure about that, certainly it was more than I was expecting but he was a very handy player for 79 K a week
