which transfer are you actually referring to??
I can see 3 transfers all no more than 50 odd K...

Whats the worst you can actually be overpaying for a 50k guy?? 30k??? !!!!! You surely cant have overpaid for your 8k dude??

Anyway - you are fighting / fought a losing battle...

I assume you are also only buying players with high potential but do you realise that anyone over 22 at that skill level is irrelevant what potential they have?

I would suggest read the rules, scour the forums learn who to listen to (and who not to)* - then make more accurate decisions when you next enter the Transfer market.

*very important

I have to also take this opportunity to commend Kozlodoev for his example of why the withdrawal system wouldnt work (the 3mil example)

Written like a true GM ;-)
(i knew you had it in you!)

First of all I'd like to say that I know the transfers that I'm talking about aren't that high. And by the way you're thinking of different players, the ones I've been talking about haven't gone through yet.

Anyway I'm not fighting a battle. I really find it ignorant when people tell me what I'm doing because I know better then anyone what I'm doing. I'm giving my opinion and it's being shot down straight away.

I am disgusted by these sorts of judgmental comments which you've just demonstrated!!

?? Well I can only repeat what others have said.

There are new transfer comparisons and MASSIVE disclaimers which take a few seconds to read once or twice before they are imprinted in your mind.

As a new player it is recommended NOT TO SPEND on anything til you have an understanding of how the ingame finances work.

If you wish to just jump straight in then you have to expect not all of your decisions are going to be correct ones.

Where are these MASSIVE disclaimers you speak of?

WARNING: It is against BuzzerBeater rules to bid above market rates on a player. Our cheater tools may detect this as an attempt to transfer money between two accounts and BOTH teams may be banned.

Transfer Price Estimate: There have been 21 recent transfers of 18 year old point guards with respectable handling and starter potential. Of these, the ones with skills most similar to Jarl Damsgård have been selling for around $ 2 000 to $ 10 000.

Ever seen one of these?

Well the first thing is a cheater precaution. It's telling me what's against the rules, not what players values are.

And to the second one, as I mentioned earlier in the thread I was trying to find that but I couldn't. It was to "un-massive" to see at the time.

I realize that maybe I should have taken more time to look around, however I believe that the withdrawal tool could be a helpful feature.

Sorry this isn't Wall Street, there isn't any bailout for incompetence. The only concievable way to reverse this would be to quit for two months and let your team die off and get a new team then but you could easily regain your loss during that time.

edit: No political discussion in the forums. Thank you.

Sorry this isn't reality, there isn't withdrawal for members who'd like to join this amazing game however are confused and are being discouraged by members like you. And the US thing was really irrelevant lol.

it's unfortunate that you've made a bummer bid that might damage your finances. I can understand why you would wish for a withdrawal option for your bids. as a newcomer to BB myself I also understand how you feel in regards to navigating the site. It is confusing at times.

Unfortunately, what's done is done. Hopefully it won't be something that will hurt your team so badly that they will go bankrupt. If it's that bad, you could relist the players and try and recoup the money that you lost. the good thing is that you've learned from your mistake and won't overpay on a player ever again :)

Hopefully you and I will get used to the site and the game and be able to go to the tops of our leagues quickly :)

Cheers!

Ya, it didn't damage me to much. And I've re-listed the player. So it's all good, but it's nice to hear from another newcomer! Thanks mate, cheers!

LOL...this thread is hilarious.

You don't understand why withdrawing a bid in an auction is not allowed? Name one, ONE, other example in any context where bid withdrawals in an auction are permitted? This has nothing to do with BB. ebay? nope. Sotheby's? nope. Foreclosed houses? nope. This is a game dealing more with strategy than basketball and your outlook is not so good.
