I know your pain, Moodie started at the same time as Neil and he is light years behind, having said that my choices with training until this season have been a little average. That is why I splashed a bit on a high quality trainee, I just got real lucky with the purchase price. Will have to wait and see how he turns out though..

Oh and Bains, remember as I mentioned that was not by personal opinion, purely using their ratings and positions. Person opinion I would certainly not have so many of my players which I am sure in practice will be the case.

420k for a 20 year old 6.4k salary player with all-star pot? i guess he has been trained as an SF and must have decent all round skills, a bit of a junior Addison maybe?

SF's are hard to train, but reward you with a nice low salary :D

lets just bring on this weeks training.. I'M EXCITED :D

ahhk mate.

im keen to know who your personal opinion is for the ASW teams, of course they have to be informed by some kind of evaluation of stats, but your judgement would be great.

i might have a look now and give you my opinion in the next hour or so.

oh and ranga 426k for a 20yo. i guess im kinda looking at this the same way skyhook is. 6'4" so he will have to get inside training with Wall, unless Wall is getting some JS, JR or PA training, the training of his inside skills will be hard going with that height.

but i guess i took a gamble on Zakharov paying 800k for a 21 yo and it is kinda paying off. so good luck mate

Big 8 (blues)

PG - Igor Zakharov (GIS) - Neil Tambyraja (BST)
SG - David Chan (SKY) - Jacek Sudzinski (BST)
SF - Ashley Garbett (WAG) - Gniewosz Sznajder (GIS) - Snaz has spent a bit of time at SG so may not get in
PF - Antonio Terroso (GIS) - Dong Hanping (BST)
C - Seran Helmink (OS) - Gabriel Wall (MAD)

well Diatkite may be a big exclusion, however he hasnt had the best season. Also G-Wall doesn't get the starting position because Helmink has had a fantastic season.

Great 8 (reds)

PG - Xiang Kuancai (SAM) - Franklin Balsiger (ACT)
SG - David Moylan (CRE) - Klaudiusz Pabich (ZED)
SF - Vaggelis Tselikas (MOR) - Armand Bailly (BEA)
PF - Max Potter (ACT) - Nicholas Giddy (SAM)
C - Frank Camara (ACT) - Janusz Galik (SAM)

Feel free to ask me for justification for any of my choices, as i understand some may seem a little odd

Please do elaborate mate, I would like to know how you can to your conclusions, especially Hanping over Diakite.

My personal opinion with the blue would have stayed pretty much how they turned out by stats, though putting Helmink in there was a good call, Ranga mentioned to me yesterday that Gab has played all over the shop this season. For the red I would put Marco Marchante (BH) in SG, Pabich as backup. I think Moylan only racks up the points because the team around him are shit. PF I would put Zakos Tats?? from BH in starter and Potter in back up, for SF I will take your word for what you have put their as I have no clue who? PG as I suggested Balsiger followed by Tabor and C I would start Janusz over Camara.

Ranga I think it was a good purchase, you have time up your sleeve as you are not pushing for promotion and you made almost twice that selling Schiavio and he is a third his wage. Not going to hurt you anytime soon.

players dont have to be on a good team to be all-stars, actually players dont have to be very good at all! for mine it all comes down to how often they play at that position and how well they do it.. Hurriyet for me was starting PG i think in all star game season 15, the only reason he got it was he played every game at PG.. He was not even close to being the best in the league.

Still dont think Chan can make it.. He spends more time at PG than he does at SG this season.. I have no doubt my new C would make it, but he prolly wouldnt qualify because of lack of games.. I wouldnt be surprised to see Woodrow in there for the Reds, he is back to his best after an average season 16.

yes he was expensive but as I said, and Brett has seen the kid.
he's pretty good for my goals, and he's already the best SF i have so will start.
I'm training a lot of 1on1 for fwds anyways so he's going to start improving immediately.
he's got enough small stats now to make up for the age, he's no SUPERSTAR at the moment but he's going to get the training he needs to be a well rounded SF

and who cares if he's an allstar? that just affects his training cap right. i'm not looking to make a $100k salaray SF out of him.
and as Brett mentioned he's 1/4 the salary of schiavio, will benefit from my training and cost me half the sale price, so all in all i'm ahead of where i was a week a go and i have a trainee that i can look to the future with.

Skyhook, Bains, trust me... have i ever made a bad purchase in the past?

glad i could ruffle some feathers

well here we go

Hanping is averaging 11.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 10.5 PPG
Diakite is only averaging 9.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 13.0 PPG

imo the rebounds and the assists are little more important than the extra 2.5 PPG. i'm sure if Diakite played more minutes he would be there but he simply can't do enough in the amount of minutes he is playing (mainly due to the Hippos fantastic cup run).

Even without playing in different positions Helmink still gets the nod over Wall for the starters.

Moylan scores and that is primarily what you want from your SG no matter what team he is on. Pabich might get the nod as starter and Moylan backup but i can't see Marchante making it.

PF I would put Zakos Tats??

interesting i had him in there also. but both Potter and Giddy are having 11 reb - 12 pt seasons while he is havving 11.9 - 10pt season. Potter's lack of to's puts him top and Giddy's hustle on the offensive end with 3.1 OR's to Tats 2.0 just sneaks him in. but we will see.

PG as I suggested Balsiger followed by Tabor

Have you seen Xiang Kuancai's season. second in assists and steals. He would probably be 1st in both categories had it not been for only playing 2 minutes in tuesday's game. Also still puts in 13.6 PPG. think that justifies a start.

How can you put Janusz's 14.0 rebs and 14.3 pts over Frank's 16.0 rebs and 15.8 pts. especially when Janusz commits 2.6 TO's a game compared to Camara's 1.3

might be your first mate

anyway good luck making a 40k SF with all-star is what im gonna say.

anyway (18084302), Gab Wall has played at C for all but 2 games this season. i only see 2 incidents where he has had possible forwards training and one he would have only had 34 mins, so im a little confused???

where did i say i was making him a $40k anything?
he is better than Marcellius who i was playing at SF previously and he will get training to be more well rounded.
not making any grand claims about the new guy at all. he will be a good role player in my team, that's all.

re: The Great Wall, we're 5 weeks into this season?? and i've done 3 or 4 weeks of 1 on 1 for forwards so i'm not sure what to tell you Bains. Gab has been getting his training and his GS is fine.

but please feel free to keep trying to find faults within my strategy or something mate. i know it makes you feel better.
