The rules were changed to make it harder for these big town teams. It has completely moved their one advantage and they do need to think differently. The trade is not a bad deal. We need someone to C next season and can afford him. Gives the young guys , Russell, Clarkson, Randel, Brown, Brown etc a season to develop. To get close to the finals will make the team a better option for top level players as with Kobe gone or at least on a lesser deal can afford 2 guys on max contracts easy.
The big issue is they treid to go from poor to top level in on go. Should of tried to sign 3 guys for 10 million instead of 2 for 15+ each. Find a few guys to make the side middle table not bottom. Nest seasons draft pick will go to 6ers as we will not be that bad again.
I have hope that Upshaw might be worth the risk.
