Wow it really has tightened up in the Great 8 with very little between first and fifth.

actually both conferences, 1st through to 5th is very close, first time in quite a few seasons that that has happened.

Wouldnt really call it death of a forum - over 300 posts already - more than season 19 and on track to be about the same as sesaon 20.

I think that the teams on both sides of the conference will be waiting until after Saturday's game, to see where teams lie, see whether or not they will have HCA for the first round, then start buying up big.

Also FYI for everyone - ive realised that my schedule for the last 3 games is quite 'conflicting' in that, decisions i make with regards to how i play those games may seem to 'favour' or not favour some teams, and quite frankly, i kinda hate that kinda thing, least be accused of it - so just to let everyone know, ive already decided how im going to be playing my last 3 games of the season, and this is based on the best out come for myself and my team. aiiight? so no finger pointing if I CT you matty!

It's tough work tanking but certainly worth it if you stick to your guns. I came out with $5mil and put plenty of quality training in to my two young guards, who are now really starting to blossom. Both are primed for U/21 honours next season, so i'm really hoping to get them back into Div II, as salaries will be increasing!

Sounds like you've put in some good ground work there, just hope you don't end up in a dead Div 3 league like mine. The great community is a big part of what keeps me interested in this game and it's been really lacking for me this season. (hence why i'm back in my old league).

Good luck on those draftees too, mine was a little (no extremely) disappointing last season.

Haha all good, I would always do what's best for my team, regardless of what consequences it has for everyone else!

Well sorry to break the news to you but there is a reason why no one bid over top of you to get him.

Zaib Muhammed (13642598) who is for sale at the moment, has a salary of 130K a week less and produces almost as good of rankings.

Anyways let the records show that it was you who threw the first pebble

Dear Yoda, I brought the 2 players that you kindly mentioned as part of my commitment to both the development of Australain players (Ott) and as a retirement home to Australian players (McNamara).

In the process of bringing in these players it should also be noted that I sold off a National Representative player from another country.

I imagine that looking in from a far you might not understand the background of how the mighty West Indies have been bidding on several high priced players with an agenda of trying to promote to the ABBL.

Sweet little misunderstood me despite this hostile and intimatory bidding by the West Indies has continued to still try and develop young Australian players.

How would it not be fair for me to try and even up this competition and bowl a "couple of bouncers" back at him, to try and help restore a little bit of Aussie Pride.

Wheres Radford when I want him?

hahah.. nice one!

Poison though. Pure poison. like what comes out of Vampire fangs. Ive got Sid's expenditure since early November at a tick over $9m of purchases, with $5.5m of sales.

in his defence, he has spent big on trainee's.

still - wish i was able to have that kinda cash flow.

I don't see any bouncers but I do see a lot of spin bowling. I encourage you all to spend every dollar you have so that when you arrive you are too exhausted to compete. It has been marvellous having three and a half tanking teams in the ABBL this season, really removes a lot of the pressure.
