How long ago did you sell those players and get good money?

The transfer market has crashed in the last season or so and player's are only worth around 1/2 of what they were. Don't worry about it we all bought players a few seasons ago at top $$$. I and i know of about 5 others that lost over 1 mil on 1 player.

1 of them (same age) was a week ago, and the other (three years younger) a couple of days ago.

Óscar Mansilla Sold StrongMochas Aces 27/03/2011 $ 765 000
Nikos Kampas Sold skku-star 22/03/2011 $ 765 000

Kampas only better in rebounding by 2 levels over Mansilla and 1 over Keklik

Very strange how things work in BB

i know someone that lost 2 million on one player

i think while what maggot is doing will be really painful in the short and even medium turn it will be for the long term good

while others of us do a high school drop outs and rot in this league for 10+ seasons he will crash and burn but like a phoenix will rise from the ashes much stronger for it

maggot isnt a stoopid manager im sure if he paid $1.2 mill for a trainee that guy had gotten some training

even better if what he hinted is true that they are guards but got big man training this season - and that could explain the bad dmi

iwen is the model for training your way to victory and while my guys are way worse than his, my trainees xie, rad and barlas are my teams core and heart and without them we would still be in d3

You know, if I was paranoid I would think all this talk about bad management of the team and losing money included me ;-)

I am planning longer term that this season, and have plans at the end of the season regarding my players.

Having experienced first hand what Koop si expereincing this season, and Phoenix expereinced whan you look at his team history, I know the risks, the dangers and the rewards. I think I have made a few calculated risks re team this season, they may pay off, but I may have got my sums wrong :-(

Anyway it is interesting to see how teams are going about it, picking up a few things from them and moving forward.

The one thing I have learnt is the $$$$$$ is king in this game. You need a good healthy bank balance to survive, and trust me, going from Div II to ABBL is a HUGE jump.

I will be watching too see how teams go in the next few seasons, and see what I tan steal from others tactics.

Don't forget that some skills put more onto DMI than others.

The onter thing I know for sure in the ABBL, is that defence is king, without defence, you will crash and burn.

Planning for the future? Look at the age of your players...
Calculated risks that might pay off? Look at your last 5 games...
DMI changes differently with different skills? Do you even know what DMI is relative to?

Maybe that's why Holtz has been chasing the cup and saving every penny this season? He might shop for play off. Promoting this season will give Holtz the financial boost he needs to rejuvenate his roster.

I don't get this one, what's wrong with his last 5 games?

What is DMI relative to? I don't think anyone know the exactly what it is but alot has mentioned it's useless. To me, DMI is just a product number of all skills + gameshape but I do notice that DMI increases more when training primary skills than secondary skills.

Whack Whack.

I know you are a much better manager than me, looking at the team histories I know you have got further in the Battlers Cup than me........sorry got that one wrong. I also noticed that you have had some expereince in the ABBL........sorry got that one wrong also. I also note that overall you have maintained a higher Div tham me...........Oh wait, I am hopeless, i got that one wrong also.

So I know that I am a hopeless manager and player in the game, and that you have forgotten more than I have ever learnt, and that it is only because of pure good luck that I have the record I do but it in no way reflects my management incompetence, and you have had the worst run of luck ever know to any buzzerbeater manager, and that is why your record does not trully reflect your managerial brilliance.

Please let me know where I can buy your ebook on how to become the best buzzerbeater manager in the world.

Peace Love and Mung Beans :-)

Whack whack? Are you for real?

I made valid observations about a statement you made where you believe that a conversation is going so it must be about you, and that is the best reply you can come up with? I didn't question your past, but since you have gone on a childish defensive, i have my answers about your future...

Not only does your past (failed) experience in the ABBL not impress me, but it doesn't make your current position any stronger as neither of our past records mean anything in the goals of our future if not learned from... Since I have improved on my history and you are going backwards, it's fairly obvious who is using their past as more than just an ego trip...

And you will find that ebook at www.pullyourheadoutbecausethesundoesnotshineoutofthere.com ;)
