The need for a three minute time addition whenever a GM makes a bid towards the end of the auction is inevitable. It's far too hard to judge when exactly the time will end, as the BuzzerBeater clock does not line up with my clock precisely to the second, leaving the bidders to guess on the last moment of the auction and throw up a random amount of money, not knowing if it's too little or far too much to be putting down at that point in time. Things will indubitably become a chaotic fight to win the rights of the auctioned players, leaving the losers to only complain more about the retched unfairness of the "new method" and pursue the re-institution of the old one.

Let's leave things as they are now. You may have to bid more than you want for certain players you have a desire for, but that's just the harsh reality of today's player market. Real-life GMs experience the same dilemma that we're all facing concerning the transfer list, so stop griping. Buying a player in the midst of 50,000 other teams shouldn't be easy.

I just can't see the problem with this bid system, and I couldn't read any serious problem from your posts. No offence

That´s because there is no problem, we are only debating about the way of improving the system. That´s all.

Yes, but even accepting it´s a good system it´s capable of improvement.
I wanted to express that there was no problem to me, but if we were giving new ideas to improve it, i wanted to say to all of you my own ones.
That´s all. I´ve been reading all the posts, different thoughts, i like some ones, i don´t like at all other ones, but i think all of them are valids.

I think the system as is, is probably the fairest possible. Althought i would like to see 2 additions.

One: The ability to lower your asking price (during listing period) if you realise you wont get the bidding started with the price you set.

And two: This is a possible. But an "instant buy" option so another manager, if he feels the desire, could take the player instantly on a set price (buy the seller). This could add problems with team trading however, but defineatly doable.

I totally agree with with your first point.the other would make it to easy for friends to help stack teams ;see it happen other hockey sim. I've played.

I'd rather add a hidden reserve price - similar to eBay, so the player will be sold only if this minimums price is reached.

Players have a starting price, and they're sold only if the starting price is bid, so...

No actually he means that: there is a starting price let's say 500k. Reserved price at which case the sale goes through let's say 650k.
Now player has a bid of 625k auction ends and player will not be sold because hidden lowest sale price is set at 650k.
And that is a pointless suggestion tbh. You have a chance to set the minimum price you want to sell a player. That is the starting bid no need for extra nonsence.
For the everyone bids silently suggestion that you thought he made. Whoever is lucky enough to get it will win. Easiest way to actually cheat more as you can say I really wanted that player etc etc and bid idiotic amount of money.

Interesting to see people fail so bad and bash neutral posts but okay - maybe I should avoid the international community in the future...
