How about creating a pool for scrimmage? We would only need to put our team in this pool and we would automatically have arranged scrimmage.

i find it sorta funny this thread is running during the nfl preseason. talk about worthless games -- unless you are the owners and tv networks. realism for us would be getting revenues for the scrimmages (none going to the players -- they have signed for the whole week, right?), factoring in the tv element. injuries would still count. my scrimmages don't draw flies (as in the nfl, fans realize the games have no meaniing), so the revenue numbers would be pretty small.

The experimenting with tactics argument is absolute nonsense. IF your players are good enough or important enough to you they wouldve already had their minutes by the time your scrimmage comes about.

Nope. People are allowed to take different ways than you. Try to realize that.

Fot the record: scrimmages need to be uncompetitive. Otherwise it would dramatically cahnge the game (for some team, only a bit for others).

Creating a scrimmage pool would take away from rewarding the coaches who put in a little bit of extra time to help there team improve. The concept of rewarding the coaches who check in on there teams several times a week, watch the games, etc. needs to be acknowledged and rewarded. Allowing for a scrimmage pool lets someone setup a team, log on when they need to in order to stay active, and develop a good team over 2-3 seasons without really doing anything to earn it.

Hmm, I dont think so. I am quite new in this game, but I already play other games that are similar to this. In way of playing I mean. In point of friendly games is a must to have a pool for that, because it just wasting of time wriitting and searching for it when you can just put it in the pool and computer will solve the problem.
If , on other hand, someone wants to arrange a friendly in his way or with someone he has on his mind... he should do so.
