That's even not so much in fact. If you look at Italy, our starting Center is 223K, while backups are 90K+

That's the effect of intensive monorole training since the very beginning of their career. It is not uncommon to have 60-70K 21yrs old players at that age if reasonably trained. That is why in Italy we look at allstar players only as case by case esceptions.

Top salaries depend of course from a good starting set of skills.
