This would be the lineup i would go with.

PG- Magic Johnson
SG- Micheal Jordan
SF- Larry Bird
PF- Hakeem Olajuwon
C- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

BPG- Isaiah Thomas
BSG- Kobe Bryant
BSF- Lebron James
BPF- Tim Duncan
BC- Patrick Ewing

R- SF/PF Charles Barkley
R- PG/SG/SF/PF Scottie Pippen

I think that team would be simply unstoppable especiall that starting lineup.

bryant? james? to legends? I know they're both good, but not that good! I know I may be ranting, but I think them 2 are top 20, but not all-time yet

I understand how you could say James has yet to achieve legend status, but Bryant?

ok ok, Kobe top 15, but teetering on him in the lineup? That's what I'm trying to say, maybe the reserve guy.

Mmk, I can understand that, I'd probably put him #3 in my SG discussion, behind Jordan/Gervin, Hondo's close too.

And my current one with no Elgin :(

PG: Walt Frazier
SG: George Gervin
SF: John Havlicek
PF: Elvin Hayes
C: Moses Malone

BPG: Gary Payton
BSG: Dwayne Wade
BSF: Rick Barry
BPF: Bob Pettit
BC: David Robinson

BG: Jason Kidd
BC: Willis Reed

Switched Payton and Kidd. I think they'd have a chance against any team.

PG: Frazier/Payton can hold any anybody from destroying us from the PG position, and none of the other PGs listed so far are good enough defenders to shut them down either.
SG: Not good enough defensively to stop the Jordan/Kobe combo, but I don't think either of them could stop George either, Wade maybe.
SF: Hondo will run em into the ground, defensively he's good enough to hold anybody, and Barry is the teams designated gunner.
PF: Gonna pound most PFs I've seen listed on the boards. Not as skilled offensively either, but solid defenders/rebounders.
C: Nobody is gonna out tough this pair, they'll hang with anybody.

Also adding my one where I can choose all players.

PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Julius Erving
PF: Elvin Hayes
C: Bill Russell

BPG: Walt Frazier
BSG: Kobe Bryant
BSF: John Havlicek
BPF: Karl Malone
BC: Moses Malone

R1: Oscar Robertson
R2: Scottie Pippen

Basically I want this team to out tough people, and I think it'd do just that.

Tough, I've already made the argument for Lebron. Go back and read through the thread.

I know, the performance is more valued than stats. But still, legend yet? maybe. Will he win 3+ championships? maybe, could he make the legends team? maybe. will he be a starter? no. I say a 6th Man on the legend team.

No. Dude's quite legendary. Only thing can be knocked is his early-maturity levels, and locker room effect.

Key word there being "early"

Correction to your post.

#1 Kobe and Lebron are 2 players that are considered one of the greatest of all time.

#2 Kobe is one of the top 10 players ever( at 9 or at 10) and the 2nd best SG. Lebron is in the top 15 players of all time. And by the time they both end thier careers they will both move up. And if you wouldn't put them in who would you use to take thier place???
