Sounds like a 5/5 19 years old is better than a 5/4 18 years old ...

BTW, can anyone have a clue how to identify a 4-star potential will be likely a superstar?

a 4 star can be anywhere from low Prem all Star to high Super star. No way to tell at ALL.
Which is why a 55 19 year old is better. as a low MVP will end up better long term for sure. Wil just train a little slower.

A lot depends on luck. Last draft I picked 5/5 18 yo and he ended up being MVP with 48 tsp. One of the polish managers picked up 5/5 19yo and he had 72 tsp and if I remember correctly hof potential. So in that case it was definitely worth taking older player, and because this draft is supposed to be better there is a good chance that 5 star 19 yo player will have close to 70 tsp.

Yeah, you are right. But it is still safe to expect 5 star 19yo to be around 60 tsp

Of course you guys are both right. I shouldn't have used word safe, I was writing that at work and didn't choose a good word there :p What I meant is that is not unusual to see 5 star 19yo close to 60tsp. But 2 posts before I said that it all depends on luck. Bottom line is you can get 19yo who is good and trainable player.

But not any more random than 18yo. Original question was:
Is it worth getting a 19 year old 5 star 5 potential player? I want to know if it is best to find an 18 year old instead despite those ratings.

My answer is yes, it is. It's better to take 5/5 19yo over random 18yo. Unless you find 18yo that is 5/5 or 4/5 you have better odds of getting more value from that 19yo.
