I don't mind. I have a highly competitive Utopian league to play in.
Besides, it's kind of fascinating, watching to see if anyone else will figure out how to get to the B3 level.
Both Muse and Vecx have beat me in the past and then decided to blow it up and take another path to slowly rebuild. I've always gone for more organic growth and one season retools while maintaining my EBBL spot, which has proven a more successful strategy over the last ten seasons.
Not my fault they can't get back to the top, they have to find a way around me. Muse is very close th having the team to do that, he had no luck last season and an unfortunate cup draw this week.
He will certainly back himself to win his home game against me, if he's still in contention but I suspect he's more concerned with making sure he wins the tournament, which at neutral venue is the best way back to B3. He just needs to avoid injuries, an away draw at Vecx or myself to arguably be tournament favourite. After all, I have less merchandising cash than before and a weaker team that's training its back court.
Muse has a great back court but both of those players do have flaws that need compensating for, and his front court is very good but not dominant in the way Vecx's is. I believe Muse is simply waiting for his SF trainees to make the difference for him. And if I was him, looking at my 33 year old SF, that's what I'd do too.
