Could you explain how you would identify roles in 18-20 year olds and what training advice you would give them? And would their role have the possibility of changing if the manager trained more for a combo guard instead of a true point guard or small forward? Here are a few examples for you to work with as examples if you wish.

18 y/o SS 7'1" 7/3/7/2/37 6/7/6/6
18 y/o HoF 7'2" 7/3/7/2/37 6/7/6/6
18 y/o SS 6'1" 6/5/7/2/1/3 5/3/3/3
18 y/o PAS 6'2" 2/1/5/7/7/7 1/2/4/2

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.

18 y/o SS 7'1" 7/3/7/2/37 6/7/6/6
Would be open to this guy either being a normal Center or a Normal PF

18 y/o HoF 7'2" 7/3/7/2/37 6/7/6/6
As he is a HOF player I would let the manager do what he wants. If I think his training is not getting the best out of the player (not just from an U21 pov, but I mean just bad training), I would push for a sale of him

18 y/o SS 6'1" 6/5/7/2/1/3 5/3/3/3
I would push for this guy to get his OD up to 13-15, and pretty much all other training would be JR, maybe some JS

18 y/o PAS 6'2" 2/1/5/7/7/7 1/2/4/2
With such low JS/JR I don't think this guy would ever make the cut for a USA team (My PG still needs at least 8 JS and 13 OD, by the time he got to there I don't think he would have any time to train his Passing to make the team).

As per my older statement, I am not trying to change everything, but that 3 guy would be someone I train differently. Also there would be no guarantee he would make the team, but he has a better chance of being a 3pt shooter, then trying to fix PS/DV/HD.

Just to clarify, you're saying the 3rd guy would have a better chance to make the team with 1 driving , 2 handling and 3 passing than actually fixing his weak points???

USA Offsite backed managers have made 5 straight Worlds final appearances in U21(3) and NT(2) and have won three Gold medals. No other country in recent memory can claim that. This is the Golden Age of American BuzzerBeater brought to you by the USA Offsite. Claims that we are not winning enough are laughable at best.
-Phyr

Right. Finals appearances do not count. If we do not win it all, then we failed. I understand a lot of you are not going to agree with this, but it is what it is. As Americans it is our right to win.

We work with what we have. Last season we had three players on the roster (along with two other prospects) that eclipsed 16/10 JS/JR. That, along with the fact they we were unsure if Italy would use GDP, and 100% sure that they would never guess Motion on us, lead us to that victorious tactic.
-EBW

So whose decision was it to run the tactics that we did in this recent final against France? Was it a collective decision made by all of you, or was this Phyr on his own? This is really what I think we all need to know. And I think all of you can understand the implications of either answer.

Well I'm not running, so I'll let Phyr answer that if he wants to, as my opinion would be biased and it is by no means the exact thoughts of Phyr.

Any American manager can register for the off-site and see the exact threads for each game.

Right. Thanks for the tip. But I think we need an answer on this thread. Just in case there is possibly an American BB user that is not involved with the offsite.

GODBEAR you have not produce a single reason why people should vote for you for manager other than the fact that your name is kinda of edgy and that I didn't win the finals. If Americans have a right to win, using your own logic, you are not the answer. You couldn't even win enough with your club team last season to make the playoffs in DIII. And we know for certain that you choose 100% of your tactics. I understand you are not going to agree with this, but it is what it is.

Thegame187, since you also support GODBEAR's argument, since you couldn't win a a single game of your relegation series this season, why should the community trust you to win a big game? Outclassed by an offsite manager I might add.

America does deserves the manager that gives America the best chance to win the next two seasons and that is me and not both of you.

PSA: GODBEAR'S REAL NAME IS NOT GODBEAR. Since he is a supporter it shows his press releases and since he has not written a press release it shows the default one from his team's creation.

It's a proud day for BuzzerBeater as the commissioner has announced the induction of a new expansion team - Illinois Riveters. The team has yet to play a single game and already there is much hype surrounding this new and exciting franchise. Fans are lining up at the box office in order to obtain season tickets, media outlets are scrambling for interesting stories on the squad, and TV stations are fighting for broadcasting rights.

With general manager MICKOLAUS at the helm the future looks bright for Illinois Riveters. Their journey to become the best team in BuzzerBeater starts now!

Sounds like a foreign name to me. GODBEAR IS A SHAM, HIS PATRIOTISM ACT IS A LIE, THE CAKE IS A LIE TOO...

I tend to try and lean more to the side of humility ;)

But I would still have to agree with Phyr here. The logic that thegame and Goldie Bear has presented has been turned over. Phyr's point remains, he did the best he could with what was presented with him, and he did a great job. If he went back and re-did the final game tactics, would he? Well, I can tell you, he tried. I was chatting with him right before the game started and he tried to change the tactic but he was a split-second too late. Both thegame and Golden Globe didn't accomplish the most with what their club teams were given. If I had the time, I would be interested in doing an in-game analysis of each of those two users' hit rates on GDP guesses and tactics.

If either of you can present actual reasons why YOU would be the best choice and not why Phyr wouldn't be the best choice, I will listen. Thegame got on that track when he suggested different builds for players, but I personally do not think that is the best way to go about things. I do appreciate your creativity, though.
