How would that affect your BBB?

Minute distribution. Now I have 2 games that I need to go with absolutely best team available (thursday and TV game tomorrow) so can't set the subs the way I wanted them set to see what kind of setup works best in BBB). Not too much of an inconvenience.

Darn, just having read your comments I thought you 2 were facing off against each other.
I wasn't looking forward to my away TV match up with RiP, but at least it now it clears up what I'm doing this week.

Well there's my classic forget to set a lineup game for this season.

I liked Pszczyna's 3 game summary so I decided to follow it up with a 6 game summary:

Best Team: Lawrence Park Panthers
Sitting at a record of 6-0, LPP is the top team in the league right now. Led by Canadian NT mainstay Stephen Hall, the panthers have been crushing opponents, beating everyone they've faced by double digits. It's a scary thought for competition that Hall may be just entering his prime. Already at the age of 29 the big man is one of the most accomplished players in Naismith history with 3 league titles, 2 MVPs and 2 cups. LPP have won an incredible 7 Big 8 titles in a row and look poised to make another finals appearance this season.

Best Newcomer: North East Point Toastifiers
Returning to Naismith after nearly 30 seasons, the Toastifiers have made a smooth transition back to Canada's top league. Currently sitting at 3rd in the Big 8 thanks to 2 impressive league victories this week, the Toastifiers have a solid collection of talent, which has proven itself capable of competing in Naismith. With the experienced Csislander at the helm, this is definitely a team that could be making waves at the top very soon.

Sleeper Team: Syndicalists BC
A quick glance at the standings and you’d think this team is nothing special. They currently sit at 4th in the Great 8 with a negative point differential. Of course part of their middling performance can be attributed to an unfortunate cup schedule which pits them against fellow Naismith powerhouse Dead Unicorns. While this team is severely lacking in depth, they more than make up for it in star power, fielding perhaps the best starting 5 in the league. They’ve already beaten the defending champs in a game which may have influenced Pszczyna Team's recent roster upgrades. One thing is for sure, Syndicalists' is not a team anyone wants to see come playoff time.

Awesome! Glad you took it up because I am inactive this week as evident by lack of lineup on Tuesday :/ Also lost crucial BBB game so will focus on league and cup even at the cost of poor GS for one week

Faced 3 consecutive top 10 seeds (fortunately at home) in the tournament, really hoping for an easy week next week!

You got your wish!
Easier opponent this time.

In the league it looks like LPP really took the consecutive losses in the finals fairly hard.
He just about secured HCA already, even willing to use extra effort to do so. Will be formidable opponent to whoever makes it to the finals.

Green Machines is still slumping. Has a strong roster supported by veteran leadership by Canadian legends (seeing the age of TSA makes me feel like true old-timer, Collin as well especially since he was one of the youngest NT player when I was the manager). I really think the team will bounce back though. it would be a shame to see them in relegation fight.

Newcomers are being hit hard currently in Naismith and see how big of a step-up the league can be. Other than North East Point Tostifiers none of other teams look like they will count in a fight for play-offs.

When it comes to my team......this season has been a bit of a struggle. One week of not setting lineups due to lack of internet access really messed up GS, especially for Almada who is still recovering. Should be all good by tomorrow though. The loss by 4 points in away game to NY Knicks really hurts and was a huge setback.
There is still however a chance to make it into BBB playoffs and I will fight as hard as possible with it being #1 priority for this season.
#2 priority will be the cup, with the league coming last as LPP looks strong, will be hard to beat with HCA, and due to the fact that I made rash decision to get 2 18yo trainees prior to this season and need to get creative with lineups.
Another issue is economy. Somehow I am constantly below league average when it comes to income from gate receipts. Not sure I understand why to be honest and I think something is inherently wrong if that is the case for current champion with 7-3 record.
In my opinion this is the biggest part of the game that needs fixing + I would love to see the end-of season monetary rewards for standings. That seems like the best way to prevent tanking, and if the rewards aren't extremely high (let's say conference champion gets 1.5mln since you get 1mln for willing League II and then each space below gets 250k less (2nd 1.25, 3rd 1mln, and so on.....) then the economy won't be a big issue either. Don't think it would result in dominance of one team either as the loss of value of players due to aging and salaries of players + staff are significantly more than 0.75mln difference in reward between 1st and 4th place.

GM will be fine, they're probably going to see how the draft class looks and if there aren't any elite prospects, round out the team so they can win a relegation fight. I'm still bitter about losing out on Paz :p
I agree with gate receipts, I think that is more inconsistent than it could be, especially for teams like yourself that are doing well in the league. I disagree about the rewards though, or maybe just the amounts? I think 1.5 million is a lot, and especially in larger nations where margins are a lot thinner, it would keep the rich richer longer and that is already a problem.

The amount suggested was just an example. Could be 1M, etc. 1M across entire season is barely 60k per week, and that is between 1st and 7/8th places. The difference between 1st and 2nd is only 200k, 1st and 3rd 400k and so on. It takes more than that in extra salaries to have any chance at dominance, your players lose more in value, and there finally would be incentive to not tank!
