@Teisninkas: I'll consider running a poll where you suggested. We can maybe do something of a more informative nature, keep the results for us, so that we don't get the backlash we usually did. It wouldn't be run by community but it would be a step in that direction.

What worries me from your partial screenshot is what you maybe don't even think about, but can explain why we lack funds to hire more people - the place where you suggest a poll should be an ad - that is blocked by your ad blocker. We run a free game, financed from Supporter and ads. Most people don't even think about this, but those ads generate the money needed to improve the game. It's not realistic to ask for improvements and don't do your part - tolerate the ads.

I can't say a lot about Runescape (didn't follow the situation closely), what I've heard were not such positive responses after a big change in gameplay. Did this great poll and community input thing happen before or after that? Also, I have to agree, it's hard to compare a game with 300 with one with a couple devs.

@Surpomp: Thanks for the kind words and understanding. We do read the suggestions and filter them by a couple of factors, main being difficulty of implementation and global usefulness.
