I think its important to note that in my opinion khenry did try and get people involved. We could argue all day about why that didn’t happen. The easier answer here is not to point fingers but to put our heads together and see how to actually get more people involved. Lambini you should implement your strategy to get more managers involved whether you win or not. The same is true for whoever secures the nomination. We don’t have to agree on all things about this game to still encourage other USA members to help. It’s much easier to scout, game plan, manage the pipeline, and take a long approach to our countries success when more managers are willing to actually help. Not give their 2 cents on discord or the forum.

I have played this game along time and wasn’t active on the discord or really with anyone in the forums for much of that time. The last 2 years I’ve gotten involved after another user specifically reached out to me and invited me to discuss the game more. My plan to get people interested is to continue the open dialogue via the USA discord channel and through the BB forum but also to reach out to people individually and ask for their input/participation. The group of BB managers that I am apart of gives advice on most aspects of the game and because of that I think we are all better managers and have seen success. I would lean on the contacts I’ve already made and encourage them to reach out to players in their leagues and that have come across their paths. In doing so I believe we can get a wider range of people involved in the NT process and tactical game planning.

I am not afraid to try new things and give people a chance at implementing various strategies they suggest. I fully believe that to be successful at this game on the NT level you absolutely can’t do it alone. So I plan on helping in this area again whether I’m elected or not, because that will make our NT stronger.

Question for the candidates: what will you do to attract more people's interest in the NT and in developing those players?

Answer is, you don't.

Every election this question gets asked. The typical answer is you try to reach out to managers and bring them to the discord where people can share ideas and training plans.

This is not the way BB works. It's a nice idea of course but many NT coaches have tried it before with little success.

The reality is that there is less interest in NT teams than ever seen before and the little interest we have is declining.

How do we fix it? There isn't an answer for that with a harshly declining user base. What we can do is utilize the tools we have to the best of our ability. Either that or give away supporter package for managers that train NT caliber players.

How do we increase interest in the NT, talk about it more in the forums, literally go into the season threads and leave a link for whichever discord you like, so players can interact with others not just for game based discussion but in general as well.

In terms of trying to increase the user base, when is the last time you talked to someone about joining the game? Word of mouth is still our best advertising.

The reason no one cares is simple. Very few teams have NT caliber players. And most managers only care about their teams. This means that the only people who really care about the NT are those managing it and those who have players on it. So you are probably talking about 25-30 players. Not much will change that.

One way to get more players involved would be to include NT results in the news feed. It's more likely someone will reda it there. But I still think most players won't care.

I voted for Lambini because I like him. He was in one of my old D3 groups. He was entertaining. I have no expect6ation that he would make a good coach. He'll probably make a lousy one. But at least it will put a lot of nonsense to rest. And everyone enjoys watching a a good train wreck.

However - he is way off base with some of the accusations he threw out there. The number of people who get involved in the NT is small for the reasons I gave above. It will likely always be that way. And a some point, a few people will have to make decisions on how to play things. You can have 3-5 people on a management team. 10 won't work. So it ends up being a small circle because that's what works. All the "cabal" stuff is just projecting your fears on someone else.

But if you do get elected, it's pretty likely you won't get their help. And that would be bad.

Just a quick thought on this subject.... It is quite possible that the staff are not reaching out to managers that might have a future NT Player
I know this to be a fact as I have a player with MVP Potential and not one time did any NT or U21 staff inquire about him. His training is coming along very nicely and in 3-4 seasons he will be a matchup nightmare at the SF Position. This isn’t the first time I had a player that maybe could have made the team but this player is the best one I ever had that has the best shot at making the NT TEAM... that being said I probably could have also made the staff aware of this player as well but it would have be nice to know that the staff might have made the attempt to reach out to me to find out what training plans I have for this player . I have a player on my Utopian team that I am training and their NT Manager has reached out to me on training plans and follows up on his improvement we discuss future training and the needs of the team for the SF Position ... for me it really makes a difference and makes you feel involved to hopefully have a player on the NT TEAM....

Thanks for speaking up, nice to have someone independently state this. Actually I want to see managers become more involved in training across the board no matter if the player is nt potential or not.

There are ads that we have set to show up on every player page which directs how to contact the U21 and NT if you haven’t been contacted. I can’t speak for the U21 on contacting you, but from a NT side your player had less than a 1% chance at spawn due to his potential. With the training buffs, the age of MVPs on the NT is dying and you might only see one every couple seasons if they have a build that is necessary.

As for your player now, I looked and he has no chance to make the NT. He can still be a decent piece for your club team for sure since he is extremely balanced, but he will at no point be close to good enough for the highest level of competition.

This isn’t a knock on you or your training, or as Lambini would like to believe a knock on the NT for not talking with you. It’s a simple matter of spending NT time/resources on the players that have an actual shot at making the team.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).
