These were Long-Term Users who left? That's a shame...

Retention is a responsibility of the game, isn't it?

The game has to be attractive enough to make people stay...

Oh well...

yes, but those records dont exist anymore, so they can't tell

I guess it depends on whether the records are deleted, or just disassociated. Perhaps you're right.

Retention is our responsibility, yeah. Realistically, though, it's tough to keep even a majority of the people that sign up. There has been some research on the subject, and even the best "sign up and play" games have a mid-term retention rate of at most 40%, which makes things difficult. True, users that are referred by a friend have a higher likelihood of sticking around, but there is a logical limit to it.

Perhaps we'll need to rethink the tracking of referred users for the page and for this contest, etc.

Could we attempt to restart this? I'd be interested and I'm sure some others would be to. Cheers!

Sure, if you think you can garner enough support for it. If you want, BB-Mail me a proposal, and we'll see what we can work out.
Thanks!

From what i recall... it's not completely thought through. Trackability wasn't up to par last time, few things were lacking if you recall.

Hey mate, I'm not interested in running it as I unfortunately don't have the time. But I might be able to recruit some members here and there and I'm sure many other Canadians could do so as well. Many of our members are very ambitious people and would love to help out. I would not be able to organize anything, but I'd gladly be a participant.
