21yo PF trainee. 6'8" / 203 cm, perennial allstar

Jump Shot: 10 Jump Range: 4
Outside Def.: 8 Handling: 8
Driving: 10 Passing: 7
Inside Shot: 10 Inside Def.: 10
Rebounding: 7 Shot Blocking: 8

what do you guys think. should i train his insideskills until he is close to the cap and then continue with 1on1 or give him some extra training in OD and passing first? I am planning to use him in div III, maybe div II (at least as backup).

what do you think his insideskills should look like after the next two seasons?

i was thinking of sth like 13/13/12/10..or would you give him more rebound/ID instead of SB?

my center has more IS and rebounding and about the same lvl of OD and less ID so I will switch them on defence

Depends on if you want to prioritize training him over your performance in the league. If you're not aiming for promotion yet, maybe you can get 2 pops on OD and PA each. I'd aim for 14/14/14 IS/ID/RB and 10 SB and then about 10 in all the other skills except JR. Then 1v1 until he's capped to bring up DR/HA a bit.

@manon. thanks for the link. i already read your post, but I decided it takes too much time to get his OD to a lvl sufficient for a real SF (>12). especially because his JR is also extremely low, too.

@Jeroenderbar. yes you are right, it probably depends only on how much I want to invest in his training. I will try to get his OD up to 9-10, so he can occasionally play SF when I have a good matchup. Is Passing that important for a big? i thought 8 is already really high...

I cant train his insideskills to 14/14/14 IS/ID/RB and 10 SB because he is only PA, but i will try 13/13/13/9 and then switch to 1on1, maybe he will pop in IS before reaching the hardcap.

I personally like passing, especially if you play offenses like motion where I feel your bigs can get your wings open shots with good PA, but it's not necessary. 8 is good already indeed. I'm using an old salary calculator for potential (season 17) and it says it can go that far, but maybe not or only if you're lucky.

I'm thinking 16 is a bit high if you want to go that far before training the other skills. I'd do it more gradually, maybe 10 or 12 first then the other skills, otherwise it will take very long before he's useful in games. I'd also try and train his IS (assuming you want to make him an SG with some inside game too) whenever possible, since training secondaries will be harder later on.
