I don't see any bouncers but I do see a lot of spin bowling. I encourage you all to spend every dollar you have so that when you arrive you are too exhausted to compete. It has been marvellous having three and a half tanking teams in the ABBL this season, really removes a lot of the pressure.

Zaib Muhammed lol. Riddington gets 17s Muhammed gets 11s. I guess it is close. Why don't you play them head to head if we meet in the playoffs lol? Its getting really exciting isnt it this is the best season ever!!! :)

Well with the acquisitions of Riddington & Modzelewski you certainly look like you have top spot on the ladder sewn up and most probably the premiership in the bag.

I guess you've called my hand so we will all find out soon enough whether I was serious about returning fire with interest or whether I was just trying to bluff you into refraining from buying up

The fact that I gone and put my best centre (Ozel) up for sale might just be a sign that I was all bluff

I wont begrudge you the premiership if you win it as it has been a mighty effort for you to be a game clear on top of the ladder with such a cheap roster that you had for most of the season

Wow! Good to see things really heating up in here. Windies has put the foot down and Sid has little choice but to throw some fire back. Gonna be an interesting finals series but the Big 8 looking like strong favourites for the title! Come on Hadders, get in on the action and hold up the Great 8!!!

THe ironic thing about Windies purchases, is that, honestly, his team on paper wasnt going to be good enough to win the championship. sure he has managed a 'worse' team into top position and thats great work by him, but come finals time a $250k roster vs a $350k roster is going to lose everytime. And Windies knows this.

so Windies had to make late season purchases. and astute ones indeed.

Truth is that im dealing with a conscience at the moment.

You actually deserve to promote and I would be stepping into the dark side if I just brought in some rent a beasts to return to the ABBLand even if I did buy up I would be no certainty to beat yourself

NO doubt that I have tried to intimidate you into not buying up and you have held your nerve.

I have several players bookmarked and a nice bank balance available to acquire some talent but having been a bit of a fan of your team for the last couple of seasons, I would feel a tad guilty if I took away your opportunity to promote.

Having been there twice before (the ABBL) it is a bit ho hum and a bit of a cash grab on my behalf if I was to bring in the rent a beasts, as the reality is that I wouldnt be competitive in the ABBL whilst playing 3 trainnees at centre up against 150 to 200K beasts.

For you not having been there before it probably would be a bit special for you

Might even be better for my trainees to spend another season in div 2 where they will be less likely to get fouled out in games.

Not saying I will or wont use the cash, but I will certainly think about it during the next 3 or 4 days.

Again you deserve to promote and even if I did buy up I suspect that you might have the cash to match my purchases.

Should I buy or should I sell and reshape my team for next season?
