Sorry guys, I didn't know that rule. I'll be sure to avoid those types of postings in the future. Thanks a lot, beanerz.

No trouble. It is a rule that I am not crazy about, but it is a rule none the less.

Any post about a player that is for sale or going to be for sale can be trouble, so just keep it in mind.

Canada's national team remains undefeated this season but now face their toughest opponent of the year in the knockout round. I have put some thoughts up about the Iran game on the off-site forum. Go take a look and offer your advice or criticism.

Good luck to Canada for today's game, I always enjoyed this great country, I have many great friends who cheer for the Toronto Raptors, I love the natural beauty, culture, and Leandro Barbosa of course! the idol! the legend! the myth!

finally, I hope that the next America's Cup is there.

Go Canada!

I always had his team as a reference of great team, successful and balanced here at BB. a team that never needed to rent ridiculous players to win.

I always had sympathy, and hoped for you in B3, then of course the Brazilian and Portuguese teams. Because I am of Portuguese descent and parents love that as my second homeland.

So, I just want to express my admiration and ask you, will you come to Brazil? already come? I await your reply.

Thanks.

PS: Before I forget, I'm the coach of the Brazil squad. Sorry for my bad english.

Just a reminder to everyone that Canada is in the knockout round of the consolation tournament. Tonight at 7:00EST we take on Iran. The team from the Americas that advances the furthest hosts the next regional tournament and has an easier path to Worlds qualification so there is a ton at stake. We're also currently on a season long undefeated streak.

As season 14 comes to an end I thought I would make a quick post to update folks on what's going on:

1) I will not be re-running for the position of national team manager. Some people close to me have had some ongoing health issues and as a result I need to prioritize my time and energy a bit better. I've decided to let someone else step up to the plate and I think there are a number of very good options to take over as NT coach. My only regret is that I only served one term because I think it takes a full season or a season and a half to really figure out how things work. I hope that the next manager is in for at least two terms.

2) I will finish scouting all the players in the NT pool before the enthusiasm reset on Saturday. From what I've seen so far I think that we are looking good moving forward. Moran is with a new owner who is committed to keeping him in shape and continuing to train him. The new owner is much more responsive and friendly than his previous manager. We also have guys like Maja, Kaleel and S. Milot finally maturing into potential rotation guys on the NT. I am not sure if our starting five is currently much better than it was a season ago, but we definitely have much more depth which will allow the next manager to better deal with gameshape issues and to have a bit more tactical flexibility (I think that both Maja and Milot are kind of specialists at this point).

3) I managed to achieve 2 of my 3 major goals as NT manager. My three major goals were to return to a top 30 ranking (just squeezed in there!), gain home court advantage for the next tournament of the Americas (got it!) and to improve on the national team's community building efforts. I feel like I sort of failed on the final one but it was both more difficult than I imagined (no matter how much you write or reach out to people you often don't get responses or readers) and more time consuming (which was paired with the issues in my real-non-internet-basketball-simulator life). I do think that finding new and innovative ways (twitter maybe? I don't know) to get people involved is a real challenge for the next manager.

4) I will try to post a larger wrap up and player ranking before I am forced to relinquish my unlimited and mighty powers, but no promises. I think the team is getting much better at the same time as other teams are being forced to react to the new economic realities of BB. We have a chance to make worlds in the next couple of seasons but it's going to take a community effort to do so.
