Thanks mate for the reassuring words. Dont know as yet what my plans are, I would have liked to have knocked up 12 wins quickly and then had the option of selling down to allow my trainness another season to mature. I wont be unleashing a spending spree like I did all those seasons ago as I think that would be unsporting given that I actually have the money this time.

With Matt becoming more active on the ABBL board and you on a plan to relegate. Unfortunately our league wont be the same next season

Yeah I've checked your line up and it's embarrasing for me. maybe you playing 2 - 3 and me playing 1-3-1 is what caused your PF to get so much points and for mine to not do as well. I dunno.

I actually rank your team.

Despite playing in Buzzerbeater for countless seasons and having spent 4 seasons in the ABBL, I am still very much learning about the game.

I reckon Buzzerbeater has layers

That is as a Manager there are layers of knoweldge that you acquire as your experience increases.

One of those "layers" is game shape & enthusiam.

What seperates your team from a few others in our league is that you understand this concept and practice it.


Currently I dont know if there is a quicker way to blow money in this game, than buying young trainnees.

They cost you a fortune, the trainers cost a fortune and you lose games and drop down divisions to pursue the passion.

Just look at Knyla Knights

Ismael Frischauf (24899303) brought for 1.2 mill sold for 750K & Hilpert Kirndorfer (25106981) Iwen bid over me to get him for $1,225,400 yet despite full on training for a season, could not get a bid on him for 500K.

I wonder what Guest would sell for now if Zazz was to put him on the market for a one doller starting bid

I think the thing with buying a young trainee, is that u arent just buying his young potential, your buying his older 'greatness' as well.

eg: in those two examples above, ur buying an untrained untrouched trainee and paying a premium, purely for potential. Its also the easiest time to train a player. Compare that to a 20 year old who has had 2 full seasons of training, his 'pathway' as i would call it has already been determined.
people pay a premium for a player who is 'untouched' in training... because he could become anything they want. buying a 20 year old already trained, means ur buying someone elses work/mistakes/pathway.
IM not saying I agree with that logic, id buy a 20 year old trainee, who has been trained correctly, but its harder to determine whether or not a 20 year old has had his first 2 seasons of training full maximised, so majority of purcahsers dont go for them.

thats my theory anyways.... what they sell for isnt their true 'value'.... its their 'market' value. and the above is how the market perceives trainees.

in other news... what...the...fudge is goin on with injuries this season!?!? just had my new SG purchase last a whole 13 minutes on Tuesday night before going down with ANOTHER 2 week injury. thats my 4th player this season alone to go down with a 2 week injury. Not including cup games, Ive lost a total of 4 SG start's, 4 backup PF and 4 backup C games due to injury and now another 4 starting SF games due to injury so far this season and it isnt even All-star break yet!
