Yeah love to understand the rationale there.

Isn't the rationale that he only pays half as much wages? With the players sold it isn't that much money. Obv felt wasn't going to win 1st round of POs.

Well, L&P didn't exactly put in much effort to win that game either....a game he might have needed to make the playoffs.

So are the first playoff games on Tuesday?

Both Rocket Science and myself (Bruins) have key players injured too. Myself am currently at ~$690k healthy salary and Science is at ~$440 healthy salary.

LMA back in the finals? But against who?

Id guess silverbacks, but would be tempted to put some money on Airballers with a road upset in the semifinal.

Funky Town Fire: $649 983
New York Jests: $ 766 715
Penn Quake: $ 605 981
Finger Rolls: $ 726 307

Salaries are really close for each of those match-ups. I'm hoping both go 3 games. Drama and intrigue!

In the short term its much better for the games to only go 2 games, then both teams save payroll the following week. Last season beating lethargy in 2 games saved me ~600k (1m in payroll saved, ~400k in attendance rev lost)

edit - not as much savings for the teams this time, maybe 200-300k for the HCA teams, closer to 400-500k for road teams. But if the road teams go down to II, they'll lose a lot more than 400-500k.

I agree, i'd be happy to make an agreement with Penn Quake that whoever loses the 1st game should throw the second, but I have a feeling that will not be acceptable :)

yeah, had my guy not got hit by a 2-wk injury, I would not have gutted my team, and tried for a road win. ah well, you know what they say - win some, lose some.

RL series is def where the action is. all 4 teams are very, very good.
