yes ranga you make bad purchases all the time and end up selling them for losses, just to go and make the same mistake again... oh wait, no, that is me :D

as long you think he can become the player you want him to be, all is good.. again, i assumed you wanted to make him a 40k behemoth, but that does not appear to be the case.. players dont have to earn big salaries to play a role on a team! i guess my SF trainee is 19, and he has a fair way to go b4 he is a valuable contributor!

I have no idea about all-star stuff. i just worry about the Dreamers so i am not gonna speculate, but like i said with Chan playing mostly at PG his rating is down this year and i cant see him making the cut. i dont expect any dreamer in the mix, which i would be happy with, as long as The Chan gets a chance to re-claim his 3 point crown, I am happy :D

I have seen the stats on the Ranga's new purchase, he has a good chance to become a solid SF, remembering All star potential caps out at 50k?? Has anyone got a real idea of what the different potentials cap out at??

not a clue mate.

but an all-star SF will be lucky to reach 30-35k at best, because it is done on skillpoints. and to be a good SF you need skillpoints both outside and inside which means their salaries stay lower

Totally disagree, just been looking at an All star player who is on 45k salary, don't believe it is position dependent which really gives the SFs an advantage, slower salary rise means more quality, negative is it takes more time..

Otherwise my NT SF Dell'Asta would have reached 150k in salary, but he's stuck at around 75k.

It has everything to do with skill points dependant on position, as they are weighted differently..

So a big man with 18 in ID, RB and IS and atrocious in all other skills would be closer to the potential cap than a big with 16 in those skills but respectable in everything else.

ie. Passing is free for non guards
