Still.... Such different styles of play, though. Jordan and Dirk sooooo different.

I'm pretty happy about the Spurs getting Aldridge!! Hopefully he fits in ok

Kobe prefers SF where he can slack off a bit on def. Leave the hard work to the young guys


Kobe could still be effective if he moved to a backup position. Doubt that'll happen, though. Too much pride/ego. And because it won't happen for a few seasons at least, the Lakers will be very unattractive for any quality FAs.

Just saw that David West signed with the Spurs Formidable front court, even if it is without a true C.

They're a bit lacking in the 3-point shooting department, though. Sure Green is good but who else?

IF Spurs cant get close to winning somethig is wrong. Getting west for nothing makes a bit of a joke of the salary cap really. haha
Rules are there to stop Lakers and other teams dominating with cash but others are doing it with players strength.

Looking forward to the summer league. Lakers need to be patienet with young guys and they will be back on top before too long. This is meant to be Kobe's final season and we will have enough for at leat 2 max contracts the following season. Team just needs to win enough and develop Russell, Clarkson, Randel, Upshaw, Brown, Brown and Nance to make it appealing to FAs.

West the nutcase left 12.1mil on the table to sign a veterans minimum of 1.5mil with the Spurs. Talk about trying to buy a ring LOL

Spurs lots a lot of good role players that they need to replace e.g Tiago Splitter, Corey Joseph and Aron Baynes. But dam what a team to beat... probably deadset favourites now (pending any injuries).

Ginobli is good, very good. But he is sporadic. At times he can shoot ok, but he misses a lot.

Spurs have one excellent from distance and a few fairly good but that's it. Not like a lot of other teams... And they don't have a true C now

Cavs look like they might be getting Joe Johnson.. Just don't know where they're getting the money!!

They are trying to offload some contracts. Talk to a trade with lakers. Giving a guy Lakers can cut they can't and a draft pick and maybe getting Shaggy in the deal also.

The injuries to Kobe and Nash as well as losing Howard has hit the team hard but they will be close to playoffs this coming season and will have room for heaps of players come next offseason with Kobe's 25 million off the books.

The changes to the salary cap was all about making it hard for the Lakers and it is making it hard but we have a great core of young guys who can be the foundation for the team moving forward.

Team will win far more games this season then last.
