The elastic effect links between the skills of players. Certain skills are related to each other so that, in training, the lower one will improve quickly, and the higher one will improve less quicky. In the gam manuel it says:

"For the other training types, players will improve more quickly not only with additional playing time, but also a more skilled player will improve more quickly. For example, a great inside defender and rebounder will find it easier to improve his shot blocking than a poor inside defender and poor rebounder would. This encourages you to develop players with a combination of skills, but there are many combinations of skills which work well together -- you can develop players who will be a good fit for your team's needs."

I the guide to BB it says:

"The increased or decreased speed a skill will train at when its corresponding skills are higher or lower relative to the said skill. What this means is that in order to effectively train a player, you’re going to want to rotate what skill is trained quite frequently. An example of the elastic effect would be when a guard with all respectable skills is given non-stop jump shot training. Each new jump shot pop is going to take longer than the last because of all the respectable skills slowing it down. Alternatively, if you had a guard with atrocious jump shot (and all his other skills at respectable), his jump shot would increase at a faster rate than his other skills. BB players have a natural tendency to strive for a balanced game so do them a favour and mix up your training every once in a while. The more you rotate training skills, the faster a player will train."

It designed to encourage players to make a more balanced builds.

Can i get some feedback on my draftee


1st season: 6 weeks of 1 on 1 for PG/SG, then OD until the end. Between two-games week, train 1 on 1.
2nd season: 4 weeks of 1 on 1 for PG/SG, 4 weeks of OD, 6 weeks of PA.
3rd season: 2 weeks of 1 on 1 for PG/SG, OD to Marvelous, PA to Tremendous. If there is any time left, train PA.

And you have yourself a U21 PG without obscene salary because of low RB, JS and JR.

If you want him to enter NT, I think you will have to raise his ID a bit among other things.

That's how we train PGs in Slovenia for our U21 and they turn out great.

I didn't have great picks in that season, but one of my players was from US, season 20. He was 18 with MVP potential. Here was his first game (46048114).

And now he's still playing for my team. Season 20-37, this has been a long journey, glad he did a triple double in a recent game (93520445). That's a legend.

I think he necro'd this thread to show that the staff in the past defended changes they made to push people to train well rounded players. Perhaps instead of complaining about negativity completely disregarding what's being written you could tell us if you think the BBs were right back then or if the BBs are right now. And note that we're talking about secondaries and not 'free skills' (which were only 2, IS and OD).

Should well balanced players cost more than they cost now, while there is no (known) plan to increase the cost of primaries?

Please elaborate.
