I really don't want it to look like it's personal against Marin, it's absolutely not and I have stated many times I respect his work a lot.

Marin, I am not upset with you :)

It's about that question in particular that is never answered and some questions in general that are not answered.
I didn't took personally that the question was not answered. To me, Marin is a BB representative whose one of the duties is to show up in the forums and take the flak, he is not responsible for everything, he is trying his best.

Now maybe we could let him answer if he wants to, if he is not forbidden to, or let him send me to hell if he feels like :)

I disagree completely with the rest Joe, first BB is not a simple product like the washing powder in your supermarket. It's a very different kind of product with a different economy model. See here, many are using it for free.
What you call commercial attitude I call Public Relations. The art of presenting facts by lessening the negative and heightening the positive, sometimes hiding the truth a little bit, in bad cases by outright lying. That it is sometimes called "commercial" is doublespeak and a PR stunt already.
A commercial attitude is being helpful, caring, attentive to your customers needs, efficient and willing to solve their problems and give them satisfaction.

Anyway it is wrong to think that to unravel what was done is a step back. If you make a mistake, you go back and correct it. I am not saying it is the case but what would be the problem ? Life is not always going forward, you constantly stop, go back, restart, it's normal.
It doesn't mean at all that BB can't work with a larger userbase, you shouldn't be obsessed with keeping up appearances.
A solution can be found later, again what would be the problem ?

I know it is not as easy as pie but is the alternative easy ? And what is the alternative by the way ?
I was just asking questions about it, questions that were already asked and not properly answered before.
Will you disagree if I say that too many have grown tired and bored of BB thinking that the game is dying a slow death ?
This is something to be concerned about.

Me, I don't believe BB is dying. And I believe BB still has a loyal fanbase, ready to roar. But loyals are tough and everyone's patience has a limit.

:)

Again I am not proposing a solution, I am asking questions.
They were not directed to you, you jumped in.

I'm trying to answer everything on this forum as best as I can. Sometimes, I miss things. I guess I'm not infallible

I'm aware of the seriousness of the boxscore problem. Also, I know the extent of the problem. I could spend months on it and have no progress. At the same time, we have bugs to take care of, features to develop... What do you want me to say? I'm getting tired of repeating the same words over and over again.

Reducing the number of leagues is not a possibility at this time. It would take a lot of preparation and the consequences might be very hard to predict. Also, the benefits might be very small, because we already prioritize calculations of human managed teams over bots.

but would it be possible during the change from Season 22 to 23? Even though calculations might priorized, they still have to be done eventually.

look at the German case, the one I happen to know best: here we have roundabout 1k players, tendency is falling just like in most countries but not very hard actually.

The players fill the first three divisions, and some of the fourth, in which some are lively leagues, some are almost mere bot leagues.

Why not remove the 6th (not even the fifth!) division? They make up for about half of the calculating power needed in germany, if I understand things right. And their positive effect on the game is practically zero (one might throw in their particpation of the cup, but thats absolutely it)

I am pretty sure things look not different in a lot of major markets. So denying that the reduction of bot league "layer" from two to one wouldn#t have effect on the Sites performance is honestly beyond me.

Yes, bot games are handled differently, this is why I asked. You said there are less cup games to calculate and it is wrong, in a 1st round, there are more games involving an active team than on a league game day. What is different between the cup and the league is all the calculation done for the individual and collective stats and such. This is what must be delaying the boxscores.
So it is not the number of games and it's probably not the games calculations itself either that causes these delays.

I believe it is a huge mistake to let it remain as it is for years, it's really essential for the good working and the development of the game, I explained why i think this before.

Thank you Marin.

I know it may not solve the problem and I know it may even cause more trouble, but wouldn´t decentralizing the kickoff dates help?

Like:

In every country, the divisons 1-3 start at p.e. 7 p.m. (like it is in germany atm), while division 4 and 5 start at 9 p.m, division 6?

Or maybe even ...

Dvision 1-3 start at 7 pm, division 4&5 start at 4 pm, division 6 start at 10 pm?

The load could be split up so that it´s not happening all at once.

Well, 5th and 6th divs in most european countries are empty or at least not overly crowded that´s where I´m coming from. That excludes Poland, Italy and Spain I assume, and maybe Turkey sooner or later. I see your point about the chat though. And yeah, given that it´s a worldwide game there are probably not too many free slots to balance the load.

In Germany, the percentage of users in the chat from higher leagues is better than in the lower leagues - so I´d assume that the chat issues -might- sort itself out to some degree. Maybe it would even be an incentive to get to the higher leagues because the fun increases (and ... we might assume that plenty of the new teams starting in lower leagues might be rather young users. games at 3 pm might actually fit their real life schedule and enable them to enter the chat while 9 pm might be too late for them).
