What is the scope of the visibility of the potential information?

As an aside, this seems to be my executive summary of training over the last few seasons. First, "Oh no, we don't have much separation in skill in players we need to speed up training", then "Training is too fast so will introduce stamina drops to slow down training" and "then training is too fast we need to slow training speed down" and now "There are too many good players we need to introduce player potential and really limit player skill."

Introducing the potential rating seems to really hinder teams just starting out and make it harder for them to catch up. Will new teams be able to see the potential of their initial team?

Its wrong.

The BB's announced they wanted to speed up the process and then slowly bring the trainingspeed back to a new level. So all of your thoughts about the thinkwise of the BB's aren't right, they were announced when they increased the training speed for the 1st time. The changes are not seperated from eachother, they are part of the project.

If every player could become legendary (with the wages increasing exponentially I assume) then the value of these players on the market would decrease as it did in HT.

Ant this should force players not to train then, and not the system himselfs ... And buzzerbeater is so much more multiskill, so you could easily train a player for a long time without reaching skills like legendary. Even a centetr has 5 skills he must be good in, and the other one(especially driving) would help him too.

So why letting train managers their players like they want, and if they made overpayd players with just one streght skill thats their problem - especially because they see the raising salary and are warned.

but i#ve the system punish he players to much, into the way they want to see them playing i think i could also play afgainst bots ;)(ok thats somekind of extreme, but i hope you got my point)

Still no information about the AGE? It shouldn't be difficult for a scout to get that info.

Today's sports news included the admission by Miguel Tejada that he is really two years older than he told scouts back when he signed in 1993. This is not a unique story, either.

This is a big change and I think that more informations should be provided. Here is a list.

Concerning the draft:
- is the position played related to 'best position', to height or just random? I guess it is the first, but I would love it to be the second. I wouldn't like to draft a player with good starting skills as center but too short to be trained in that position.
- Still no information about the AGE? It shouldn't be difficult for a scout to get that info.
- The box score does not provide any information about defensive skills (the ratings is strongly influenced by the stamina level). I realize this is not a question

Concerning the potential:
- How limiting is the potential??? I guess that even a 'bench warmer' can train effectively for at least a season, otherwise the will be just dead meat.
- Is the skill cap the same for EACH skill? Or, for example, I can have a center that barely goes above average passing but can go as high as tremendous in IS?

- If our current players are all 'all-stars'... when should we expect this cap to show?

I hope you can clarify at least some of these issues

Two EXTREMELY important points.

I will never train a player with a potential under "all star", I'm sure about that now

Talk about leaping to conclusions based on no knowledge of what is to come, LOL!!

You do understand that "about 20% of draftees" means only 9-10 per season in each league and that a good team such as yours may not even get one of these players in a competitive league draft?

I doubt very many 'all-star' potentials will hit the TL and the price will be beyond the means of a mere DII team such as yours.

There are many more facets of this new system that I can think of that will effect my draft/training decisions, far too many to speculate about without seeing my new draftees.

Can new player (I joined month ago) attend to draft or does one need to play a whole season before joining to a draft?

I can't see any players in a draft list so is it just a waste of money what comes to hiring many scouts or do they do their work when season is ongoing?

I just read about the draft from front page and I get an idea that scoutting is done after the last game of the season. So why keep scouts at the season time, just add them before the last game. Confusing...

Scouting is done during the season. The results are displayed after the last game of the season. Having a higher investment during the season dictates how much scouting is done prior to the draft...in other words you'll get a better picture of the draftees if you had invested more.

About potential, my biggest doubt is this:

If you´re selling a youngster, lets say you´ve pulled him with 18 yo and you´re selling him at 19, after a year of full training... but his potential is one of the worst... the buyer can see his potential? or his buying a young one without knowing that he´s bad potential?
If you can´t see the potential of those you´re buying, then is so easy to get fooled...

Indeed. But i guess it will be this way because the seller payed for that information, the buyer did not..
