Hell Im going to have to sell my best player or 2 on a flooded market next week and will also probably have to put back a run for promotion to Div 1, an extra season, but I reckon the changes are great.
Obviously it strongly favours teams who have established players that they have trained and in the short term it will deflate the value of established players and dramatically increase the value of trainees and partly trained players
If you are someone who trains players it will make it easier to go up through the divisions assuming that they are properly trained.
I would like to see a change that would see players valued at what there salary was when they were brought or what there current salary is , Which ever is the lesser, for calculation purposes so that older players who have been on Managers rosters for a long time but were not necessarily trained by a manager, can be kept for sentimental reasons, and a manager not penalised for doing so when their skills drop off through age.
I expect many Managers who are disadvantaged to quit the game, but that is okay as the game will be dramatically improved by these changes and has been discussed in other threads , the game could quickly grow in numbers if Apps were developed
I believe that the change should have been touted part way through last season, so as to allow managers to adjust and so to prevent the transfer list from going into meltdown next week.
Perhaps giving Managers an extra week to adjust before the tax implementation or even making the tax at a lower rate (say 25%) for this season, before it rises to %50 next season.
That all said Im still in favour of the rule changes and believe that it will certainly make the game a lot more interesting and challenging in the long term.
Good Managers will eventually work things out, even some one of average ability like myself , who starts with a new team could go from Div IV to Div 1, even quicker with these changes
